This company is absolutely terrible at providing ID verification services. It's a disgrace that they act as gatekeepers to services by advertising that they provide the same services as ***** or GovX, but they don't ID you at all. They just hold you in limbo, unable to reach the services you require.Initial Complaint

This is a joint complaint involving SheerID and ********. ******** "offers" free premium to veterans, active duty military, and their spouses. SheerID is used for "verification" of this. I have been trying to get SheerID and LinkedIn to verify my status, of which I am eligible under two separate categories, for over a week. SheerID does not respond to my support requests, and recently sent me an odd email that said that "We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (verify) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group. A few more details on why you weren't able to post:" despite using the url from their website. Additionally, since attempting to use this service, I am now inundated with spam calls, spam emails, and scammers. it is my very strong belief that they are not verifying identities but rather engaging in personal data brokerage.Initial Complaint

SheerID is the sole discretionary company that is supposed to verify if you are a student in order to receive a student discount.I am a flight school student, enrolled in a listed and approved school on their platform, who has previously been approved, yet when attempting to re-verify, suddenly my documentation is being rejected and sheerid is coming between me and the discount I should be receiving.Flight school doesn't have the normal documentation they ask for. We don't have student IDs or normal syllabus style schedules. I uploaded my student pilot license as well as my flight schedule for the week and they keep rejecting itCustomer Answer

SheerID finally accepted a letter I had to obtain from the owner of my school as an accepted document. I believe we can close this complaint as they have emailed me that I have been verified.

Complaint Against: SheerID Nature of Complaint: Denial of Eligibility for First Responder Discount (Lululemon)Date Range: February 5, 2025 June 22, 2025 To Whom It May Concern,I am submitting this complaint regarding SheerIDs continued denial of my eligibility for ********** First Responder discount, despite multiple attempts to verify my credentials as a medical professional over the course of several months.Since February 5, 2025, I have submitted a variety of qualifying documents, including a valid work ID, recent pay stubs, and even my medical diploma. Each submission has either gone unacknowledged or has resulted in a rejection with little to no clarity provided about what specific requirement was not met.I am concerned that despite fulfilling all listed documentation criteria, my applications continue to be denied without a consistent rationale. At this point, I believe it would be reasonable and appropriate for a third party to review whether a pattern may exist in the way SheerID handles these verifications. Hundreds of customers are struggling. We are trying to join ******* assist and this membership is discounted for seniors, people with disabilities and other needy families on some sort of assistance. Membership is needed to get free grocery delivery instead of paying a ***** delivery fee but ******* makes us click a link so we are brought to a SheerID verification page. We only have this one way to verify our eligibility. But the SheerID address is correct and in the bar, the page loads and its completely blank! A white empty page. For almost 2 weeks, nearly hundreds of people have been calling *******, sent to SheerID which only accepts emails and then you get an auto reply saying they may not be able to get to our email for 3-5 business days while so many are literally going hungry trying to get this addressed and fixed. The few Ive found that have been responded to by SheerID, they were told its Walmarts problem and instructed to call them again. SheerID claims to offer employment verification services. ******** is a user of these claimed services. ******** requires evidence of my employment with the government to provide international roaming services. Despite submitting numerous requests to SheerID, they have not verified to ****** my employment status while failing to explain why the documentation I'm submitting is insufficient (mind you from my official government email address.). ****** explains that as they are not involved in the employment verification process and they depend on SheerID to handle this matter, there is nothing they can do. To make it worse, SheerID has no publicly available contact information and only provides an email address that says they work 24 hours a day seven days a week but to not expect a response for 5-7 business days. SheerID is failing to provide the services it offers and has not hired adequate personnel to handle the size of the contract they are performing under. It is impossible to claim you work 24x7 and can't process my request for over 1-2 weeks. SheerID needs to stop claiming to advertising employment verification services if they cannot perform their advertised claim.Initial Complaint

They denied me 35 times telling me either my paperwork or some random idiot that they have working there is trying to tell me I'm not disabled when I have 3 doctors and the federal government who say I am.
