              On May 31, 2023 my wife and I hired *************************** of First Impressions Painting **** to paint the exterior of our house. My wife, ***********************, wrote him a check for $1500 as a deposit for the job. He was originally supposed to start painting in June. There were several delays on his side. On June 21 he said his friend had passed away. We offered our condolences and said he should do what he needed to do. We agreed to a start the following week. On June 29 I checked in and he said there were new delays. We then agreed on a definite start date on July 7. On July 7 he did not show up and we have received no messaged from him since. I told him we wanted our money back via text and email and tried calling as well. We've received no response. We are just looking to recover our deposit since no ********* occurred.

              I actually worked for ***** for a couple of weeks, he seemed pretty professional as far as on the job goes but when it came time to the job got done he disappeared and stiffed me on my pay. Well said stored some things at his house that he said I could keep there for just a little bit until I could move them into storage and I have yet to be able to figure out how to get that back
