During my many months of research into storm shelters, I discovered many different types of shelters and many different businesses selling them. There is no governing body to check which shelters and businesses are good or bad. I discovered the National Storm Shelter Association which is as close to an organization that makes sure members follow the guidelines that FEMA recommends for tornado shelters. I contacted many businesses including Monty with Tornado Alley Armor. The website gives tons of very useful information and Monty responded to all my questions. I told Monty I was looking around and he said I would be coming back to him. Well, he was right. Most of the other businesses got back to me and answered my questions, but Tornado Alley Armor fit my needs and are members of the NSSA which is definitely a plus. The installer drove 12 hours, stayed in another state, drove 4 more hours the next morning, spent all day installing the unit, drove 4 hours back to where he was staying then drove 12 more hours back to Tulsa. That's true dedication; above and beyond customer service. Great install and a great unit. It's built like a tank and I can use it for more than just a tornado shelter.
