      Horrible *********** months after buying a car from them, I still do not have license plates and cannot drive the vehicle. As I read online I guess this is typical of them and they do not respond!

      The worst customer service ever! Sold me a car in December. I have expired paper plates and cannot get the title. I have called customer service multiple times. They have a manager who just Blames the Customer! Cannot escalate to anyone who even cares about all the problems. I want to sell it or trade it in but I cant. What is worse is that the offer from RubyCar came from my employers ********** which I stupidly trusted. I am stuck!

      Honestly, looking at rubycar, I was hesitant to work with them, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and the under promised and overdelivered. I was able to get an excellent vehicle at a great price and haven't had any issues so far. I am so thankful for ***** getting me through the process quickly and efficiently.

      Save you some time and money do not go to Ruby **** their website is a nightmare I agree with the reviews because it sounds like the same thing I went threw so just like them once you put the car in the shopping cart it should say sale pending then somebody wants the same car they take you out and give then that car and tell you we can find a slimmer car I don't want that slimmer car I want I pick out their website a mess and from the beginning, they have played a game I don't or will not recommend no human to get a car from this company they are scammers.

      NO STAR. Margie ****  is awful and would not care about you whatsoever. Kristin was great. We bought a car on RubyCar. company was very unorganized and delivery keeps getting pushed back without telling us. We had to call for an update). 11/24: got contacted about the forms to get plates, temp tag and registration. They provided shipping label with tracking and signature needed. We complied right away and sent the mail. And TOLD them about it. 11/28: the mail was received and was signed off by someone at their office. No update UNLESS we call. 12/19: told them the temp tag is expiring on the 20th and this is their response “It takes up to 8 weeks and if you need another I will order and get it to you before it expires” -Lie We had to rent a car because it’s the holiday. 12/28 i think we received the new tag. And told them that this one expires on 1/20. 1/10: we called them to get an update since the tag will expire in 10 days. they told my husband they never received any mail (contacted after a month). And I sent them a copy of the email ups sent me that it was received and signed on 11/28. Then no response. Update: They said the mail got lost-the mail that has the title to our old, trade in car, awful 1/11: they miraculously found the mail but revealed additional necessary paperwork, never previously mentioned. 1/17: since 1/11 my husband tried to constantly contact them tag update. My husband told them that we would not be able to get this notarized and inspected in time before the tag expires since we both work full time and can’t just take a day off without prior notice. We got told about it very late and now we can only do it on the weekend which is the same day the tag will expire. Now they are pressuring us to get these forms like it’s the only thing we do in our life. They are not communicating! We requested for a rental car but they denied it saying they already did it before. The tag will expire 1/20 1/18 As of today, there has been no response.

      One of the most disappointing car buying experience has been dealing with Rubycar. Full cash payment made within 8 hours of request. All process beyond that had been a drag. It has been close to 3 months since purchase. The vehicle was delivered damaged and after much delay, was taken from SFO to LA for repairs. Vehicle came back with no plates. Now I have NO PLATES, EXPIRED REGISTRATION TAG and NO TITLE. A HEFTY processing fee was charged for all this during purchase. One staff I would praise for maintaining open communication (a lot of things can only be coordinated by her) is Margie Diaz. But all talk and no work should not be the way a dealership should be functioning. NEVER AGAIN. .

      Poor experience with RubyCar. I thought I was getting a good deal, I was quoted a price and I asked....'is this the final, nothing else added price?" "Again, I asked, so nothing else, fees, I live in a no sales tax state, so nothing else, etc will be added to this price?'' I was told no, this is the price. This was discussed on Sunday, 12/31/23. He told me a finance person will contact me on Tuesday (After New Years Day!) On New Years Day, the finance guy left a phone message that my app was accepted and he had rate numbers for me. I received a 'congratulations' email Monday night or Tuesday morning with a price that was about $2000 more! I called Tuesday afternoon after work and the 'salesperson' basically blamed me that it was my fault that I wouldn't get the truck at the quoted price because I had missed the cutoff date, and I had failed to respond "They tried to contact me with an email and a text." I'm looking at my phone now and there is no text! The home phone message said that he has numbers to talk over with me. Since it was New Year's Day, and I assumed the finance guy and I would talk on Tuesday, as I was told by the salesman Sunday. Now I understand all the negative reviews from others. RubyCars is a pile of manure.

      This company is a scam and unprofessional. The registration and getting the tag has been such a gaggle. The delayed communication and constantly trying to register my vehicle in a state I don’t reside while lying and have inconsistent answers. Basically it will be penalties fees in my state the longer , don’t have a tag. This company is causing penalties to build everyday because I made the salesperson aware the fees increase after each week of verified purchase. So financial hardship because this company can’t display professionalism but they received the money/check paid full for this vehicle. These are disgusting practices, I should have never purchase from this company and I will be going to a local dealership

      I wish I could say I had a pleasant experience with RubyCar, but I would be lying. I purchased a vehicle from RubyCar 7/24/23. It is now 133 days since I purchased the vehicle and I STILL DO NOT have license plates. Interestingly, Angela S. in finance was more than happy to call me regularly during the time I was considering buying a car, but now I can get NO response when I reach out. I have emailed Erin C. 6-8 times and call/chat online with their support at least 2 times a week to get help with my issue and I get ZERO progress. I even contacted the company that financed the vehicle and they have sent 4 letters to RubyCar to get the title to the vehicle and THEY get no response. The only response I get from RubyCar is "I apologize for the delay in getting your plates. I understand your frustration and I am trying to get this resolved soon. Again I am sorry, I will have my supervisor look into this, yada, yada, yada......." I cannot recommend AGAINST using this company enough. I am not sure if it is ineptitude, incompetence or just plain disreputable practices that are going on with this company, but DO NOT buy a car from this company.

      As others have stated, customer service is great but the follow through on getting license plates is nonexistent. I purchased my vehicle late July, was give a temporary tag through August 15th and have since not been able to receive another temporary tag nor have I received any return calls when i hound them to call me back. My financial advisor Jesseca is always conveniently “unavailable” when I call to ask the progress of getting my metal license plates and she has “escalated the issue” to her manager countless times. The last time I actually spoke with her was over a month ago and she said that they had all of the information they needed to get my license plates and I was off the “task list” (whatever that means). This is the first time I have ever purchased a car and the fact that it has taken almost four months to get my license plates is criminal. I have since opened a complaint with the TXDMV and an investigation into their practices will be followed. I encourage anyone thinking about utilizing this company to suck it up and spend a day at a local dealership because I would rather negotiate and hound a salesperson all day than have to deal with this company ever again.
