We paid $3500 to have our state taxes paid and waiver of penalties and interest.
The attorney failed to advise of the fees. I called back when I received the garnishment notice and asked how often they deal with this collection agency and was advised multiple times throughout the day. When I asked then why the attorney was not aware of the collection fees, I was transferred to someone else who very abruptly advised me that they had done their job.
Payment was made to ensure garnishments would not happen and to have these taxes taken care of and penalties and interest were waived.
Neither of the last 2 were completed as my wages are now being garnished.Business Response

Our firm made every effort to resolve Mrs. *********s case successfully and honor the terms of the service agreement. While we acknowledge that the collection agency’s quoted payoff amount did not initially include their added fees, it is important to note that her decision not to complete the full financial obligation—including the agency’s required fees—is what ultimately led to the garnishment action.
When we were aware that the fees had not been included, we immediately escalated the matter to a supervising official at the agency to request a waiver on your behalf. Unfortunately, that request was denied. Despite this setback, our team had already secured a resolution based on the information provided at the time.
We want to emphasize that we fulfilled our responsibilities under the contract. We remained actively engaged throughout your case, worked directly with the agency, confirmed details multiple times, and took all reasonable steps to advocate for Mrs. ******** when challenges arose.
While we regret that the outcome was not what you had hoped for, the current garnishment is the result of the agency's enforcement actions after the agreed-upon terms were not met in full—not due to a failure on our part.We have emails from the collection agency to prove the fact.

I hired them to fix my tax problem. I owed around $20,000. That was 7 years ago. Within the first year, I turned all the information they requested multiple times. I got to talk face to face ONE TIME, when they talked me into giving them money. After that, I never talked to anyone but a secretary except for 2 times, I received a call saying they were still in the process and needed the same information I had already gave them. After that the secretary would tell me they gave me a message that they were in the process of getting the *** to settle for less than I owed. They never did Anything except keep putting me off and now I got a letter from the *** saying they were taking Travis Watkins off of my power of attorney because they had done nothing in 7 years. AND SINCE ITS BEEN 7 YEARS SINCE ANYTHINGS HAPPENED. THE AMOUNT I OWE HAS DOUBLED. Now I'm about to get my check garnished and getting threatening letters again. They are the absolute worst. We have sent several messages from our firm concerning the lack of information sent to our office. ************** needed additional information to present to your officer and the "correct" info was never received. We sent a final notice for information in August with a five a day deadline you never responded to our communication. We still have time to collect your information and send an offer to the *** but we need cooperation on your part. 2018, Spoke with man and advised that the firm would be able to resolve an *** tax balance due to low income. My income documents were provided and was advised I did not have the means of repayment. The firm could at least save me $2000 dollars since the tax debt was around $6000 and the firm charged $4000. I was told that my case was easy and would not take much time. In Good Faith I sold family items to obtain the $4000 and paid in full to Travis Watkins tax firm. I was then passed from one paralegal to another each year with all most the same information and not to worry. I was told finally an Offer of Compromise was sent to the *** for $50 and was denied so I now owe $6100. Now because it has been 5 years, I do make more than $14 an hour and have some equity in my home I am expected to pay the debt. I would like a refund of my paid retainer. My account has not been satisfactorily represented in a timely manner. This Firm has not acted in Good Faith. This Firm is a scam. Once you pay them, you are no longer of interest the same con lines are repeated and Good Faith is not upheld.Business Response

We are actively working on ********************** her case owner spoke to her on 11-2-2023. We went over next step resolution options, explained we were mailing out a letter, went over resolution options a 2nd time.
Sent her portal link to our internal system and client questionnaire with November 20th as deadline. So the client is making a false claim that our firm is a scam. We have to go through proper steps to complete a resolution. The client will need to allow the time for her case worker to produce an outcome. We are at the mercy of the *** in every case. I hired Travis Watkins tax to resolve tax issues I was told to file back taxes and they would work on it all at once in Oct. I paid them **** that day and they took it out of my account twice it took them over a week to fix. They still have not paid the bounce fees that caused. I had to take my daughter to hospital instead of urgent care because they over-drafted my account. They wouldnt return calls. I get an email about forms they needed me to do which wasnt what I agreed to. I was also asked to scan all my taxes when I had them with me from start and was told they could download from irs. What they said they were doing and wanted was not what was told at the start and I had enough. I tried to call no one called back. I told them I was canceling their service they were rude on email told me after a few days I had to look at contract and send it to address on contract. I did that and that wasnt the correct address in the contract so I called got correct address from receptionist this delayed the certified letter by two weeks them having the wrong address in the contract. I have called and emailed and sent certified letter asking for accounting and my refund. This is a stressful time and they have done nothing but make things worse. They take money but dont do what they agree to and you never get to talk to anyone but the reception. They didnt follow up on anything that was told to me by ****** they took my money and wouldnt return calls. This isnt buyers remorse I want someone that treats me like a human. I didnt want this company representing me with the irs and they have done nothing but make a stressful situation worse. I am do a refund and the fees that they caused me from their error of taking my first payment out twice. Companys shouldnt treat people like this company has done. I still dont know if this is a legitimate company or a scam. They way they act is seems this company is nothing more then a scam.Business Response

We were in the process of completing client's financial statements for the **** There was an issue with the client receiving the forms we needed to complete the financial statement. ************ was frustrated with the process which is understandable, and we comprised a plan to send her forms via mail in order to proceed. In the process she chose to terminate services and file a complaint with the attorney general. We have an accounting of services prepared it was sent to the address on file but was returned. I hired this firm to take care of a state tax from a former business on July 18th. I have been unable to get anyone to call me back and find out about my case. I am still receiving lean notices from the state as it appears nothing has been done with my case. I have paid them ******************************************************************************************************************* back and 3 times no one has called me back. I get a different person in a different state when I do call the number even the local number in ******** and have not been able to speak with anyone on the status. We are under contract to complete a resolution for the clients state case upon completion of his payment plan. Our office was ready to file a resolution but the client was not paid in full. This is clearly outlined in his MSA. We reached out to the client several times to give him an update. The client has refused to respond to our attempts to communicate. I am rejecting this response because: I was told by ****** when I signed up that he would get it started that day. I was never told it had to be paid in full before they started the case and while that is going on penalties and late fees were still going on from the state. Its fine they finally where able to call me but only after I stopped payment on my account. I made several attempts on my behalf to call them and speak with someone directly for 2 months and got nothing accept someone will call me or I needed to set up an appointment to speak with someone which I did but 3 times in which no one called me on the scheduled appointment. The only reason someone called me is I stopped payment on the account. I am not the only complaint this company has many, many complaints. I expect a full refund for services since they have done nothing on my behalf to the state for my back tax liability

The statement that was made "to get started on the account" is true our state rep did work on a deal but it could not be submitted to the *** until the account was paid in full. The client will receive an accounting of services. We signed up with Travis Watkins Tax 8/19/2020 to assist with our *** and State tax debt. We paid $4000 for them to prepare our taxes, some of which had already been completed but they wanted to do them again. Paid them another $4500 for *** resolution. Since starting all this, we had already resolved our state taxes on our own. Every time we have correspondence with them, we have to sign a new POA because they have employee changes and "they can't speak on our behalf unless we sign a new one" This delays the process even further. At no point have they made contact with the *** on our behalf and it has been nearly 3 years since starting this endeavor all while incurring additional interest and penalties. I want the job finished or a FULL refund of all services including the interest and penalties *** has added to our account while we have been in limbo. I am rejecting this response because: In August it will be 3 years. 3 years and you are just now stating we have to file a new POA EVERY 30 days. This was not stated up front, nor has it been explained in past communications. Only that ex-employee no longer works here and a new attorney has been assigned and they need a POA signed. I have done my research and per the attachments, the ****** of ******** stays in effect until you revoke the authorization or your representative withdraws it."

August 1, 2022 Paid Travis Watkins a total of $4,500.00 to take care of my 2017 Federal Taxes. So far the only thing I receive is a Tax Analysis report, no email or phone call, etc.Today I received a letter for the *** that I still owe $7,435.88 after they keep the $3,012.00 refund to apply to this 2017 Balance.I cannot receive a explanation of what this firm is doing for me, except for receiving the Tax Analysis Report, which makes no sense to me. They have NOT made a good faith effort to reach out to me and find resolution. Theyve given me the middle finger in an email that says they produced returns and I wont be getting a refund. Paid them $1500 to do our business and personal taxes in February 2022 and they produced NOTHING, except inaccurate returns! They captured 2 out of 12 months of our business income on returns, and No one answers the phone, calls you back, or answers emails to discuss these major discrepancies. I emailed them at least 20 times asking for updates and stating the returns they produced were wrong and inaccurate and that they were missing income and other valuable information, and I wont sign it because its wrong. No one responds to you, and then 2-3 weeks go by and I get an email from them stating they produced a return 2-3 weeks ago and are awaiting my signature!! Their departments dont communicate with each other and this company has no interest in helping their clients, only taking their money and making false promises. I provided all requested documents they needed to do our taxes proper in February and march 2022. The individuals I provided that information to no longer work there. But instead of passing our file onto another individual to pick up where they left off, they just let our file go dormant. It wasnt until I reached out to them in October 2022 to check the status of our tax returns. I couldnt talk to anyone except the receptionist to leave a message. She told me to email everyone and I did and nobody responded. Finally got a response asking me to provide all the same information I had provided back in February/March, so I did. They then produced the returns, which captured only two months of the whole year, and my personal return had me as collecting unemployment (never filed for unemployment a day in my life) So they were fabricating numbers on the return, and I refused to sign it. The client is not cooperative and only wants to complain rather than come to a resolve. We have documented details of the communication. We provided this company $6000 in April of 2022 to file our tax return and paid extra for itemization. We provided them via upload to their portal within a week of meeting with them all of our bank and credit card statement for the year. We called to verify multiple times with the receptionist (you are never able to speak with anyone else no matter how many messages left) that all information was received. We were never called back or given any update for our account or asked any clarifying questions as their salesperson ************* insisted we would be. We were sent an email from a generic account in their office with taxes owed a few days from when our taxes were due. No itemization had been done and our income had not even been correctly filed. Instead it was the same amount we brought to them with no work done. They asked for us to sign an e signature page that wasnt attached. We responded asking about the itemization we paid for and said no signature page was available to sign. No response received. We called. No one could speak with us. We went to their business on the day our taxes were due 6 months after we provided them with our info. They refused to provide us with a copy or our return and refused to let us in the door. To not file on time costs us $45000 in penalties. The receptionist first asked for out bank statements (the aforementioned ones we gave them 6 months prior) and then said that they had them and were working on itemization. At 400 pm on the day they are due before we incur a penalty. This company is taking money for services not provided and refuses to communicate.Business Response

We have reached out to ********************** numerous times and placed his email as the primary from the beginning (see attached intake form filled out by *********************). We then reached out to both of them on the following dates:10.13.2022 *************** 10.10.2022 10.09.2022 10.08.2022 10.04.2022 09.29.2022 09.28.2022 09.28.2022...(Every month since ********** Retained)
***************** notified us that she will not be polite during this process (via email) and we advised her of the email communication moving forward.
However, we will reiterate what Mr. ***** ***************** retained our services and what is to be performed for them. When they hired us on 4/14/2022 we spoke about them being a **** Even though your CPA filed an extension for them, it is not an extension to pay. We explained this to them. Income tax for their personal tax return was due in full by April 18th, 2022. They stated that the balance may be around 500K. We explained to them that it will benefit them tremendously to restructure to an S-Corp and they had agreed. The penalty and interest started in March/April. Not October. Their CPA should have explained this to them as well. We understand that the *** is not the quickest turnaround when requesting documents to adequately prepare their tax preparation for restructure; however, if they wished to restructure their business before filing. As we explained in the beginning, the next service would have taken precedent over their balance owed. On the intake sheet (attached), they wrote "wishing to have their tax liability lowered". We explained to them about how they were structured improperly for this to take place. We did send them a final tax return and advised them of missing documents required. We stated numerous times which documents were advised that we needed to finalize the return. **************** advised our company that he was to file using Turbo Tax. We subscribed to their monthly online services. After the first week we decided that this service is useless. We contacted them by phone and requested to cancel service and not charge our card the monthly $29.99. We even sent them an email requesting cancelation, but the keep charging us. We plan on filing a criminal complaint for fraud against this company.Business Response

The ****************** will and has taken off autopay for the tax monitoring service. Although we did receive the email for cancelation we will honor the request and refund the client for August only being that we performed the work for the previous months.
