Brick ordered in Dec 2022. I was told at the time this brick would take 6 weeks to be delivered. I contacted ACME many times in person and via the phone seeking a status up date and was continually told someone would get back to me. I was then told July 1 and as of July 6 2023 I still do not have the brick. I contacted the *** on July 6 and was finally sent a nonsense update that it may get delivered in August best case scenario. So, the delivery date has changed multiple times today. The company should have contacted me as soon as they knew about the delay so a different brick and supplier could have been arranged. They did not because they did not want to lose money. This is unacceptable. I am now going to have to refinance the build because these delays have pushed us beyond 1 year and I am out of pocket $1,500 a month in rent and double utilities.Business response

************************* is working with a builder who did not place his order for brick in December of ***************** complaint. It was not until May 12 of 2023 that the order for material was formally placed with ACME Brick Co. Sales manager with ACME Brick has told *************************, ACME will have brick for his order in late July 2023 and will deliver as soon as plant brings product into ***.Initial Complaint

We bought brick from them early because they said there was a shortage. they talked us into the mortar to match so it would look right. while on vacation i get a text asking if we are ready for brick, i told them we were out of town and could next week work. i didn't hear anything back. the next think i knew is mom was calling saying brick and mortar were delivered. we didn't need mortar that early and i talked to the driver and he said it was wrapped tight to keep water out of it. now my mason came out and said most of the mortar was useless because it had hardened. i feel they sent everything to get the sale and now i am going to be out another $2600 for mortar because they delivered it. also when questioned the sales person said they typically put it in the garage but mine is out in the yard. he also said they have been delivering brick without mortar because of covid, but told me they had a policy that mortar goes out with brick. He doesnt have the policy in writing either
