On or about October 14, 2020 Arrow Asphalt performed work at my place of business. Their asphalt work literally fell apart about a month after the install. I called them and asked them to reheat the asphalt and run over it with a steam roller (or whatever they do to it), and they agreed. However, they never showed up to perform the warranty work. About a month later, I called them again and received the exact same song and dance. About a month after that -- well, you see where this is going -- they always SAY they are going to fix it, but then they never fix it. On March 8, 2021, I left a voicemail for the owner ********* he texted me and said, "We are doing a job on a state park out of town. I will have ****** come by this evening and look at it and will get back to you." Nobody ever came out -- none of my security cameras were ever triggered. My last communication with the owner ****** was on April 2, where he said once again he would fix it. 11 more weeks have passed...

      Complaint: 15568925

I am rejecting this response because:  Thank you for confirming what I said -- at least we agree on the history (with the minor exception of "threatening voicemails" as I never threatened anyone).  However, this response is exactly the same response they have given me for the last 9 months.  They say they are willing to fix it, but they never do.  In the meantime, it continues to get worse, to the point my forklift has actually dropped inventory in the parking lot, due to the uneven asphalt, causing damage to the product and to a customer's vehicle.  I need this to be fixed now -- not at some unknown point in the distant future.  I require more than just "when we are in the area".  What area?  How big is the area?  When will you be in "the area"?  At what point will you finally be out to repair the poor work performed -- 9 months is much too long to wait!

Are you telling me you haven't been in my "area" in the last 9 months?!

Getting back to my "threatening voicemail" -- I urge the BBB to request a copy of the "threatening voicemail".  The only thing I said was I would file a BBB Complaint if they didn't do the work they promised me they would do.  I waited 11 weeks after making that statement, and I filed the BBB Complaint.  I think I am justified in my statement and I think 11 weeks is more than enough time to wait to file the BBB Complaint.

      Sincerely,
      *****************

First of all I didnt say you made threats of harm or personal threats it was a threat of making a frivolous complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue. Where we clearly dont agree is you opted willfully to do a $500 repair on an area that you were given the option to make the proper repairs for 10 times the cost and you decided to take the quick cheap fix route knowing it was a bandaid and not a long term fix.

it has not been 9 months since it was brought to my attention and I have not had a project in ******* I could do another quick repair that wont permanently fix your issue since I was made aware.

I am not going to spend thousands to make a repair for something we were paid $500 and you knowingly had it patched with a bandaid process.

like I said I will make the repair when were in the area and not make a special trip. I would suggest perhaps you call another contractor and have it fixed properly as I am not interested in doing any further business with you. I will gladly refund the $500 that you paid for the bandaid repair.

      good luck moving forward

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that the $500 refund resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Sincerely,
