I was on a covid forbearance with another mortgage company in mid 2021 my mortgage was sold to midland. In 2022 I came off the forbearance prior to coming off I did an application for a modification I also did one for state funding as I was told by midland. At the beginning of December 2022 I was approved by the state and notified midland and at that time they were suppose to cancel the application for the modification because the state paid them over ****** and also payed my account ********************** payment for 6 more months from Jan to June after then I payed and up to September my account was current. ****************** failed to cancel the modification and now they took money from the Va of over 67,000.After that they reversed all my payments from the state and sent me letters stating that I was in foreclosure and I needed to pay by November 1st. They did the partial claim and sent me another application after the fact for me to fill out. They have done everything thats not by the law. Also they have reported to the credit bureau that my account is 120 days late and since then my credit score has dropped like 50 something points. Where is the law that covers people that were in a covid forbearance.

At the beginning of July 2023 I was on the phone with a member for this mortgage company, and was informed that a check in the amount of $24,618.74 was mailed out from ************** department for the purpose of repairs on my home being completed up to 95%. The check was mailed out August 17, 2022. I did not receive this check, nor did I request it. The check was cashed and I have been calling every week since, trying to get the mortgage company to let me know exactly what banking institution cashed this check. I did not have an open account and my drivers license was expired due to me being incarcerated for 3 calendar years. I was arrested in May 2019 and not released until May 26,2022. *** already made a police report in reference to who I think cashed the check, but I still want to make contact with whichever bank that cashed this check to find out how a check in that amount can be cashed and I never endorsed it, never opened an account and definitely did not receive any funds for the repairs on my home.

I paid my mortgage for the month of September, the amount cleared my checking account but ****************** did not post this amount to my September bill and its now showing 2 months behind and was reported to the credit bureau as late. This is ridiculous for a mortgage company to do this. I want an explanation on why payment wasnt posted. I want my account credited for the month of September!!! This company is awful!!!!!!!

The negligence of this company is astounding. We received notice that our mortgage was going up $700 a month due to an escrow shortage. We made the necessary changes in our home insurance to prevent that. Midland advised us that when we receive the refund checks from the cancellation of our prior home insurance to send them to their address in **********, *****. We received the checks ($6000 total) and sent cashier's checks to the address we confirmed multiple times to make sure we had the right address. The checks were sent expedited and received by Midland Mortgage on August 7, 2023. We called on August 9th, 2023 to confirm receipt and Midland confirmed they had them and that it would take 20 business days to process them. So, we wait until September 1st, 2023 to give Midland a call. We called and we were horrified to learn that Midland Mortgage COULD NOT LOCATE OUR ESCROW PAYMENTS! We were extremely upset because we were previously told that they were received and were in process. We spoke with a manager on September 1st, 2023 who expressed that they're going to do everything they can to find them. We called again on September 19th, 2023 to get an update only to be told more horrifying news. The checks were located and SENT TO AN ADDRESS THAT WE HAVEN'T LIVED AT IN TWO YEARS! The checks were mailed out on September 10th, 2023 so by now they've already been delivered and are more than likely gone . We have to hope and pray that our credit union can stop the payments and reissue but the problem with that is it'll take up to 90 days to reissue. During that time, we're still stuck paying the extra $700 a month which is totally unfair. It was extremely negligent of Midland Mortgage to not call us when they discovered the missing payments. Had they done so, we could've avoided this situation altogether. We should NOT be held liable for these payments when Midland Mortgage is CLEARLY responsible for losing our payments and sending them to the wrong address.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the ongoing delays and lack of transparency in the process of receiving my refund from your company. My mortgage account number is ************* August 7th, an automatic payment went out to Midland Mortgage from my bank account in Chase after it was fully paid off, which led me to make a formal request for a refund of an overpayment on my mortgage account, in the amount of $1200.00. Since then, I have been experiencing a series of setbacks and have been given the runaround by Midland's customer service representatives and some supervisors. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter amicably, I find myself at a dead end with no resolution in sight.Over the past month, I have called Midland's customer service department multiple times, approximately half a dozen, inquiring about the status of my refund. Each time I reached out, I received no substantial information or assistance. Instead, I was repeatedly directed to contact my bank, *****, for a resolution. This situation has been both frustrating and time-consuming, as I have spent a total of approximately 4 hours on the phone with my bank, who, in turn, informed me that they have no knowledge of any transaction involving a company named ACI.My most recent interactions with your company provided me with the information that a refund check was allegedly sent to ACI on August 25. However, I have no familiarity with ACI, and their involvement in my refund is perplexing. I implored Midland's customer service representatives to reach out to ACI and investigate the situation on my behalf, as I believe it is your responsibility to ensure the resolution of this matter. Unfortunately, I was met with the same response, instructing me to contact my bank. This frustrating cycle of being bounced between Midland and ***** has persisted for over a month now, and it is imperative that this issue be addressed promptly. I have been patient and understanding throughout this process, but I can no longer tolerate this lack of communication and unresolved matters.I want to emphasize that I have been a loyal customer of **********************, and I have always upheld my financial responsibilities faithfully. I had expected a more efficient and respectful handling of this situation.I am sending this complaint not out of choice but out of necessity to ensure that my concerns are heard and that this issue is resolved promptly. I kindly request that you take immediate action by contacting ACI, clarifying the status of my refund, and providing me with specific details regarding its processing and expected delivery.
