Midland is at it again trying to put my loan into a modification due to old paperwork in their files. They went back to 2022 and made it look like my loan was behind. I have paperwork from the last time when they had to reverse this modification.Initial Complaint

There is a partial claim filed against me in July of 2018 that was inaccurate and never completed. This uncompleted partial claim shows up on my title record that I owe money and I cannot qualify for an equity loan due to this. I have contacted Midland Mortgage on numerous occasions and continue to be told they are researching my complaint. It's been over a month and they still have not called me and are still unable to help me resolve my issue. I have provided them documents showing I did not owe they $149,000 in question on the partial claim and documents from *** claiming that I do not owe it and it just needs my mortgage servicer ( Midland Mortgage) to release it.Initial Complaint

My dad passed away 11 weeks ago and I inherited his property, there are currently squatters living in the home that I am in the process of evicting. These squatters logged onto the Midland online account and changed the contact email to theirs instead of mine, while doing that, they saw my phone number and address. I called Midland to ask about this, and they then informed me that they also called Midland pretending to me and my daughter (a crime!) Midland should have IMMEDIATELY called me and not given them any information!! That is not what happened, I was not told until I called them asking about the change of the email address on the account. I was told I could put a *** (privacy access code) on the account so that when someone logs in online or calls about the account, it would ask for a certain word before any information was given about the account. I have now called over 10 times and the *** has NEVER been asked for. When I start asking about it, they give all kinds of excuses ranging from a computer glitch, to it only asking for the *** on the 2nd page of the account, to it will be asked for next time you call in, which it never was. Because of Midland Mortgage, these squatters who are dangerous, now have all of my personal information. I have spoken to a supervisor, *** ******, to demand the auto and transcripts of the phone conversations between Midland and the squatters and was told to give her a few days. Those days have now passed, and I have called and left a voicemail, waiting on a return call from her, remains to be seen whether that call will ever be returned or not. The sheriff is now involved because calling and pretending to be someone to a mortgage company that you are not to get their personal information is a CRIME, as is the mortgage company releasing information to someone who is not on the account. ********************** KNOWS all of this information and still REFUSES TO SECURE THIS ACCOUNT.Initial Complaint

I contacted Midland Mortgage regarding my daughter doing a Simple Assumption. We were given the paperwork and got it all filled out and submitted. They were told the purpose of this was to put the mortgage in her name and get my name off. I have since called several times to find out the status of this assumption. Every time I was told that it was in process and when it was all done I would receive a letter stating that I was released from the mortgage. Today, I called and got a completely different story. I was told that the assumption didn't take my name off of the mortgage, my daughter would have to submit a Release of Liability form. This is not anything that was told to me prior. I am in the process of getting pre-approved for a new mortgage with my husband and we cannot move forward with my name still on this mortgage. This is unacceptable. Midland Mortgage's inability to train their employees correctly has really put me in a bind. Now, they say it will take 90 days to get the liability released. I feel as though they should expedite this process since it was their mistake.Initial Complaint

We entered forbearance due to loss of income, which concluded beginning of June. We met all obligations & regularly communicated. I submitted an application for assistance on their website as directed on June 18 & was asked to wait up to 30 days. I heard nothing from them so followed up again on July 13, about 30 days. The agent told my wife that there was nothing needed from us, everything was on track. We received no notification or update, I phoned again July 31. The agent again told me all was on track, nothing needed from us. She stated there was a delay with some title activity. On August 12 I received a letter dated August 5 that stated our loan was sent to foreclosure on August 2, only two days after I was told there was nothing needed from us. I again phoned and spoke to *** (#****) who also said everything appeared on track. I disagreed since they initiated foreclosure, and after a long delay of research and review it appears no one did anything with my initial application and the two prior calls should have identified this. *** asked me many questions and gave options for resolution, she then said she was submitting the modification request under escalation due to the delay. I received an email at that time that my application had been submitted, which never occurred originally. No longer saying trusting them, I called on August 15 for an update and spoke to ******** (#****) who said the application was under review and could take up to 30 days. I again explained the history and that I do not have 30 days if they are trying to auction my home. She said she would mark the account as a customer complaint. I have also sent inquiries through the website contact link with no response. I need to understand how I was misled on status, how the process failed and am in a position to lose my home. I need the action ceased, time they stole by not processing given back and someone to explain this. HELP BEFORE WE ARE HOMELESS DUE TO THEIR FAILURES!Initial Complaint

Midland, you all have been taking more money from us than what is needed!!! We have been struggling so much since COVID started and on top of that, we are in an active bankruptcy. Last year, you all worked with us to do a loan modifications for all of the missed payments due to COVID deferments. When we talked to someone who helped us with the loan modification, they told us that the deferment payments would be added to the back of our loan and we will stay with the same interest rate in order to make payments LESS! Our mortgage literally increased by nearly 300 in December of 2023!!! We thought that was weird because how is that helping us when we were already struggling??? You all increased our interest rate from 2.99 to 3.99!! Since we are in active bankruptcy and literally struggling to make ends meet right now and are three months behind, I decided to look through all of these statements to see why our loan increased so much, that is when I caught this! That was NOT discussed with us or else we would have denied the help. Im not sure if someone enter something wrong, but we should be at 2.99 NOT 3.99! So since December we have been making these high payments. This needs to be corrected and we should be refunded for all of the excess money that we paid you all.Initial Complaint

I have over $1,000 surplus in escrow, I requested the money and they said it would take 20 business days. They have been holding this extra money since March of 2024, They are not paying interest on this money that is clearly mine for over payment.Initial Complaint

This company is withholding payments and will not release payments. This company has refused several letters and attempts to remove escrow for insurance which I am paying and have paid already to the insurance company. They refuse to send me a signed copy of authorizing an escrow with the company. This is one of the worst companies they find ways to fraudulently take your money over what is owed and then threaten foreclosure.Initial Complaint

Midland mortgage received a wire transfer in the amount of $7678 on July 2nd 2024. As of july twenty third, midland mortgage still has not posted this payment to my account comma I have received additional late fees as well as accrued interest due to them using delay tactics and not posting the funds to my account properly. With the wire transfer that was sent, I should not owe a payment until September 1st for my mortgage and Midland mortgage is still reporting that I am due for July 1st.
