Apartment complex gave notice that our electric box would be getting replaced at 8 AM on 10/14. After 5 PM, power was still not restored. No notice given, just left to have no power. Now, its been a full 24 hours and neither the energy company nor our complex will rectify. I have already had to throw out groceries, I cant shower due to no hot water, and nothing is being done. Apartment just acted like it never happened. Power is still not restored and it is only our building. This is ridiculous.Business response

Stoneleigh on May Apartments had notified all residents in Building #8 that that the electric meter base had to be replaced to the building. They were also informed that the power would be out for the day and to take appropriate measures. This job was scheduled with the electricians and the city to occur on October 14, 2021.
As required, the electrical contractor scheduled the city inspection for 3:00 p.m. on the same day. The inspector came at 10:00 a.m. The electricians confirmed they had requested the inspection for 3:00 p.m. and not 10:00 a.m.. By the time the inspector came back to the property and approved the new electric meter base replacement, it was 5:00 p.m.and OG&E Power had closed.
At that time, I contacted a person that I knew that worked with OG&E directly. She had a difficult time locating the approved inspection. She finally located the confirmation sometime after 7:00 p.m. She informed me that she put a ticket requesting a tech to come to the property to get the electric back on.
I was not aware the electric was not turned back on until the next morning. I immediately called OG&E to see why the electric was not back on. They stated they have a policy that requires an employee be present when power is restored. Neither the property nor the electricians knew of this policy. We immediately got the electric back online with instructions from OG&E. Power was restored to Building #8 prior to 10:00 a.m. Now that everyone is aware of this policy this should not happen again.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this caused our customers.
Sincerely,
