Made a mold of a tooth which needed a crown. Crown was manufactured and sent to dentist. Dentist spent 1.5 hours trying to "fit" this crown on my tooth. He even took a "break" due to being frustrated that he could not get it to fit. He continued putting the crown on and then removing it- several times. I was not numb and in considerable pain. After an hour and a half in the dental chair, he finally, finally cemented the ill fitting crown on my tooth.I had nearly continuous pain with that tooth for several months. I tried contacting them on a Friday because I was in a lot of pain. No one answered. I then sought out another dentist who x-rayed the tooth and found an "open margin.." The dentist said that the crown was improperly "fitted" and was not acceptable. He told me to reurn to the dentist who did the crown and complain, which I did. He told me basically it was not his fault, I needed a root canal. Turns out I DID NOT need a root canal! Unfortunately the BBB cannot handle this complaint, I was told. However, I felt the need to warn others about Sampson Dental's quality of work. It's shoddy as you will find out as you read their reviews. I don't recommend them at all. I paid $800 and have had to have the tooth re-capped (another $750) by another dentist. NEVER TRUST A DENTIST WHO DOES NOT OWN HIS OWN PRACTICE! ****** learned.

If I could leave zero stars I would, my daughter had a filling replaced, after the work was completed we called because of pain and discomort, they stated this is normal. My daughter has now been seen by a real dentist and the dentist stated the tooth was never properly sealed and now my daughter needs a root canal and crown. We contacted Sampson Dental and they denied all responsibilty.

If I could leave zero stars I would. They never have the same dentist working, the turnover rate is HILARIOUS. They will NEVER admit if theyre wrong. My retainer fell off after 10 years, when I went to get it replaced, the wait time was unreasonable and it took the dentist THREE ATTEMPTS to glue on my retainer, while scolding the assistant for being incompetent, when it was clearly the dentist. His bedside manner was unfathomable, and my retainer fell off THE NEXT MORNING. I should have demanded a refund and warned my girlfriend. My girlfriend went in last week for a filling that had fallen out, no pain accompanied, but we were going on vacation so she scheduled an appointment bc she didnt want it to cause her discomfort while out of town. It took them 3 HOURS TO SEE HER. An entire day wasted on vacation. My girlfriend was in incredible discomfort during the ENTIRE VACATION, when seen again after week of discomfort and pain the dentist told my girlfriend it was her fault. He argued with her in an open office and was so rude that my girlfriend walked out without being seen. When asked for a total refund for faulty services and product, the office refused to refund. Claims they HAVE TO see my girlfriend to issue a refund. My girlfriend expressed that she would not be coming back for a THIRD TIME, or at all after she was so incredibly disrespected BY THE DENTIST. The person we spoke to on the phone was exceptionally rude and unhelpful AND SHES THE MANAGER. Refused to issue a refund and then claimed I was threatening her when I told her without refund I would turn her into The BBB & dispute charges with my credit card. Please beware of this company, their incompetence and poor, POOR customer service. What business doesnt refund a bad product with worse service? SAMPSON DENTAL.

This place is TERRIBLE! Its ran like a circus. They gave horrible advice about my teeth. Sampson Dental wanted to pull my teeth out and charge me an arm and a leg even though I have insurance. I went to another dentist and they said they can save my teeth and are actually running my insurance. I called to cancel my appointment with Sampson Dental and she said she would put me down for another day. I said no, Im not coming back and she said she would put me down for another day! This place is crazy!

Our daughter suffered from dental pain and went to Sampson Dental Group, ****** ****. Since she was unable to pay for the services my wife and I offered to use ************ Care Credit offers several payment options including Same As Cash at various month schedules. Both our daughter and I were lead to believe they had 24 month SAC. This was a misleading statement! After verifying this several times when it came to giving authorization to my account I was told it would only be 18 months, that a previous program had expired. Considering the complexity of the procedure to our daughter and that it was preformed in two appointments each being paid at completion the total of $7500.00 and complete payment date was past the 24 month promotion. I argued the agreement I was told at the start of all this, but upper management would not bend. Out of frustration at that point I told the office manager I would not authorize payment to which she threatened to have our daughter arrested on felony charges since the balance due upon completion exceeded $3500.00. Can you imagine that???? Knowing the legal end of this I was forced to give and take the 18 month program to save my daughter unnecessary problems. That 6 month difference has a big impact on our cash flow considering we both are in our late '60's and on Social Security, not to mention I have Leukemia and my wife has sever back issues and both of us are unable to work. This entire experience just goes to show how one hand does not talk to the other and upper management's only concern is profit vs employee statements and or consideration.I wouldn't trust these people to walk my dog!!!!!

      Sampson Dental Group Response

The patients father was told that if the payment was made in full at the first appointment we would contact Care credit and make an exception for the 24 months but he did not want to pay in full. He wanted to pay half at a time, which the furthest we could extend the same as cash in that case was be 18 months. after the initial appointment we heard nothing from the father until he was refusing to make the remaining payment. There was a full month between appointments, the patients father was aware that the other half of the payment needed to be made at the 6/14/21 appointment. When the office called to get the payment at the end of the daughters appointment, he refused to pay. There was an error with Care Credit and the card was charged interest. however we told the patients father that we would call Care Credit and rectify as well as take the interest payment out of what was still needed to pay, which we did. The Issue was the patient had a $7500 dental bridge in her mouth and left the office and her father was refusing payment. The services were completed and she received the dental work but her father was refusing to pay, we are a business and we are concerned about our doctor being paid for the work that they complete.

      Customer Response

Your response is exactly what I expected (did your lawyer write it), of course you're not guilty of anything! But you are not telling the truth! As stated, your people reassured me several times that this would be billed at 24 mo. SAC. There was no discussion as to paying in full vs making two payment and the effect of the latter. Hence, not being accustomed to paying for medical services prior to services rendered, I opted for two payments.Your reasoning relating to threatening me with felony charges against my daughter is a poor excuse too. Of course your a business but making such threats to the father of the patient shows your true beliefs when there is an objection to what was told and what will be.I mentioned I have cancer and other issues where stress can play a major part to my health. This incident has caused such by putting us in a financial bind as you have done so.Please understand I am not expecting you to voluntarily do anything about my complaint. My goal is to bring forth to others that when doing business with you they best make sure everything is understood prior to services rendered and to get it in writing. Again I state; "I wouldn't trust you to walk my dog."
