Hello,
Customer ******* **** ordered a table on 6/14/2022 and at the time of order we estimated the order time to be 8 weeks. His table arrived on 8/22, he picked the item up on 8/23. We were slightly late with our estimate, but tried to notify Mr **** as soon as we had shipping confirmation and also when it arrived in our warehouse. The transaction has been completed.

I bought a La-Z-Boy living room outfit from Dewey furniture in vermilion OH because of la-z-boys so called reputation of being a good product and the warranty. All a crock!! The mechanism in my recliner broke and was supposed to be covered under warranty. I have the receipt with the model and I called Dewey to get it repaired. They asked if the sticker was still on the foot rest. What sticker? I saved the tags and the paperwork. They said they can't fix it because the sticker is gone. OMG what a cop out!! This has to be interchangeable plus all you would have to do is look it up. I am beyond livid!! La-Z-Boy and Dewey...you are NOT living up to your name and reputation. I guess we all need to buy cheap because you scammers sure don't stick behind your name. You all are disgusting crooks!!!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/22) */ Customer contacted us to report a broken mechanism in one of the pieces of furniture she purchased from us that were delivery in December of 2012. We asked the customer to provide the serial or acknowledgement number from the item she was having the issue with and she said she couldn't find the tag and hung up. We are willing to service the item in question, but the serial number is something that is required to order parts. The furniture is 9 years old, so outside of our free in home service warranty. We can send out our technician to look for the serial number but we were trying to save her a service call fee, we will reach back out and see if she can provide us with more information to complete the service.Initial Complaint

In April my husband bought a sofa sleeper, and a warranty. I noticed the seam on the couch was letting go a week ago. Now on 10-8-21 the seam completely frayed and separated, it looks like a big hole!, I called Dewey and explained the situation plus sent pictures of the couch and they refused to do anything about it .and wouldn't let me use the extended warranty I paid for.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/18) */ The customer forwarded pictures of the damaged area on her sleeper sofa and unfortunately the damage is not considered a manufacturer's defect. The damage being reported is the back cushion seam pulling apart from the back panel of the sofa. This has been cause by the customers pet laying on the top of the cushion, the downward pressure is pulling the fabric/seam apart. The decision on the extended warranty is not a store decision, it is the company that supplies the extended warranty. Unfortunately this again is something that is not covered, as the warranty covers accidental damages, typically stains/spills but also covering damages caused by an accident or one time incident. We have offered repair on this item for the customer on a cost basis, and would be happy to help get the item back to new for them. The problem is the item has been damaged due to not using it for its intended purpose, sitting on the seat cushion, rather the weight pushing down on the back cushion has caused the tear. We never want an item to underperform and strive to exceed our customer's expectations with value, quality, selection, and service. But in this case the item, the manufacturer, and the extended warranty were not at fault or the cause of the issue. It was a lie to get more money from him. It is false advertising! I am not the only one that has complained about said warranty. Which they don't honor
