We've have had a horrible experience with this company w/our waterproofing. Our install was moved dates due to the snow storm which wasnt an issue - on the new date crew should've arrived between 8:30-9:30am, I was contacted at 9:45am that they would arrive around 1pm. I was not contacted until after 2pm regarding the arrival time. I was told around 2pm they would be there at any minute. Crew did not show until almost 4:45pm on a Sunday, did about an hour and half prep and said they would be back tomorrow between 8:30am-9:30am again. My *********** then had to move our work schedules around to accommodate. Crew didn't show up until after 12pm that day and were at our house until after 8pm. Fast forward 2 weeks, we are still having an issue with water coming in. I called on Friday (2/18) to schedule an appointment for today (2/21), crew was set to arrive between 2-4pm. I just received a call at 2:45pm stating they are running behind and asking to come tomorrow - my husband and I cannot move our schedules around again to accommodate a change once again since we have now done this twice. We had opted for a dehumidifier and were told the duct kit for it needed to be ordered. We had not heard anything by early March so, I called to check in on it. I finally found out that they had them in stock and we could schedule for them to finish our project I was told we needed to schedule & were now looking at 4/13. I told them that would be fine but would need to be after 5pm due to our work schedules and the dates my husband and I were off work that week did not work apparently. On 4/13, around 1:30pm I got a call that they were done with their project early & wanted to come early. I told the office that it wasnt possible as my husband and I were at work, we were scheduled at 5pm which my husband already moved his schedule up to be off by 4pm and home in time. I was told that the office would call me back. I never heard back and it is now 8pm &they never showed upOhio Basement Authority Response

My basement flooded and they wont repair it saying its not covered under my warranty because I should have a second pump installed which I would have when they waterproofed it if I was told to do so.Ohio Basement Authority Response

Horrible customer service from top to bottom. Nothing but lies and awful service from the start until now. *** came to my home back in April to give me an estimate. Once he was finished I told him I had two more companies coming.I said $15k is alot of money to me so I want to take my time and would let him know in a couple of weeks. He told me I don't have a few weeks. It's that bad and they would start right away. Two days later I said I'd go with them and sent a $10k check. All down hill and lies from there. Weeks went by with no word on when they'd start. Finally got ahold of them and he now said they are swamped and it would be 4months! This is after he told me it was bad and I didn't have a few weeks. I called cooperate and they gave me the run around as well. Said *** had no right to tell me that and they chewed him out for it. Then he turned it around on me saying I probably misunderstood him. I said no. He said what he said and meant it. There was no misunderstanding. So he said he would call me I a couple weeks to schedule an appointment to look at the wall and make sure it was ok. Never heard a word. So 4 months later (October 14). They came and did the work. Left the house and back yard a complete mess. Was over 4 hrs late bother days so I basically took off work for nothing. Called to complain with no response. Well today Feb 17 (4 months later) the basement is leaking where they repaired it at. I called and sent emails. With no reply until hours later. They replied with a text! Not even a call. I finally got ahold of ************************* and he fed me the same BS the rest did. He actually said. Well with all this snow and rain alot of people are having issues! I said I paid $15k to have those issues fixed and when you told me it would be fixed no one ever said it may leak if we get alot of rain or snow. This was a long story made short. In the above PUBLIC reply you thank me for bringing this to your attention and state that you take customer experience very seriously. You also state that you brought this to managements attention. Well after what happened ONCE AGAIN today i can safely say management either never got that message or what i've been thinking from the second they cashed my check they just don't care. So as i stated above on Feb 17th the work that was done started to leak. ****** sent out a guy named *****. He assured me ***** was their top guy and would be on time,etc. I had leaks coming from the anchors and the North wall that they patched and ***** was supposed to fix both. I wasn't taking another day off work just to be stood up again so i arranged for my daughter to be there. ***** called me about 4pm after the job was "done" He told me he fixed all the leaks except one. The one he could not fixed wasn't anchored "by your crew" right and a structctural crew would be needed to come back. I asked him what caused the leaks in the other anchors and he said they never put the wax seal on and it leaked. So again the poor work "as stated above" was the cause. So then i asked him if he got the North wall fixed? He asked what about the north wall? I explained it to him and he said he was never told anything about it and the crew that was coming to fix the anchor would take care of it. So that means ****** failed to tell him anything about it. On Feb 21st i got a call from your office setting up an appointment for today March 3rd between 8am and 10:30am. With the history of your poor work i wanted to be here so i could make sure it would get done. At about 10am i realized no one was coming and headed to work to at least get half a day in. At that point no one called or anything. At 12:30pm i got a call from the crew saying they wouldn't make it today and they would need to reschedule. This guy called me 2hrs AFTER he was supposed to show to tell me he wasn't coming. There is ZERO excuse for that. It's bad enough he canceled after i took a day off to be home but he waited 2hrs after to call on top of it.You can't tell me that at 9am, 9:30am or even 10am that he didn't know. How can you justify this? He texted me later in the day that he will now be here March 9th at 4pm. I'm expected to either take off work or have someone else here again? There is nothing you can say to justify this treatment. It's absolutely unacceptable. This is awful from the front office all the way down to the workers who come into your home. I wish there was a way we could some how settle this and i could get a different company to fix it properly. Unfortunately you have my money and i'm in way to deep to do so.Review from Kyle W

***** and his crew fixed up my basement quickly and effectively. They also cleaned up my basement from the extra concrete debris. ***** went through all the required paperwork and explained the whole process, which put me at ease. The OBS foreman and crew were friendly, courteous, and professional. The foreman gave me a detailed technical description of the job before/after work installation and detailed walk-through after work completion. We own a raised ranch. Saleman from Ohio Business Systems comes out explains everything to us about the system we are going to get, size etc. Tells us where it will be placed. We explain to this man that this is our ONLY storage space in the house. We ask him again about the size and if we will be able to use the area for storage. No problem. He does not have a brochure to show us what the system looks like but he shows us approximately with his hand how big the unit will be. Says nothing about the duct work. We dont think to ask because we dont know to ask. We sign contract with 3 days to stop. They do not place until 4 weeks later. The unit is larger than expected, not placed where the salesman said it would be placed because the unit it too big and the duct work is massive. It blocks the doorway to the storage area and we tell the guys who put the unit in that this was not going to work (they were very nice). I wanted it out that day. They just said theyd tell someone at corporate.Had two men come out today (very nice guys) who looked it over. Moved it a bit and made some space in the storage unit but we still have only half, probably a quarter of the space if we leave a path to move around and not bump the duct work. I told them I still wanted the unit out or at least the salesman commission taken off my bill. Just an extremely UNSATISFIED customer.Ohio Basement Authority Response

The crew of Larry ******** and Mikey arrived on time and began work right away. They took the time to cover what was left in the basement from the dust and reviewed with me what they were going to do. What my wife and I appreciated were the pleasant and professional communication with them as they worked on waterproofing our basement. They demonstrated a real concern for performing their job to our satisfaction. ***** especially took the time to answer our questions and made sure we were satisfied with their work. The crew members Jordan, Greg, Clarence and Darrell were professional and friendly. They hung plastic to minimize the dust and cleaned up the area where they were working. They also went above and beyond their job by removing a very heavy woodburner from the basement and bringing a new one down.
