    Went in on 10-5-2024 to look at a car & was quoted a price $1000 higher than what was on-line. *** ****** statered the car I asked what was the rattleing and the smoke coming from the exhaust? Was a heat sheild and that the car had been sitting causing the smoke. After leaving the lot with the car the service engine light came on the same day. Was advised to bring car back and they would read the code only to take the car back and they were not able to read the code due them not having the proper tools. Was told to take it to their repair shop and have them look at it. After paying $70 to have them look at it, was told car needs to converters and a muffler.

     We have a service appointment on January 6th on a Monday morning with are Mechanic to address the service issue, did not know there was service issue due to the fact that the BBB sent a email instead of a hard written letter! we cannot get every email due to they go in the spam folder every so often.     Northpointe Auto Sales charged me a service contract fee (warranty) that they told me was successfully canceled on the 9th of November. ASC Warranty is who they go through and the warranty company said that they do not have a contract in our name or for the vehicle purchased. They also never received any money. Northpointe Auto received the full amount of my loan and has not returned the $2195 to my credit union to reflect my correct loan amount for the purchase price, taxes and tag/license fees. I have talked to 3 different people in the office of the Auto company and everyone is giving me the runaround. Randy Shirk will not return my calls and I have went to the Auto company to sort this out and he is never there, he is always "out of town." One of the employees told me, "Even if you get the money, it won't make your payment go down that much." That didn't sit right with me. I also was told over a month ago by two employees that a check was being processed but my credit union has nothing reflecting that. They suggested I make a complaint here.

    To whom it may concern, 

     

    The service contract was cancelled by customer request.

    Many attempts were made to contact customer, in order to have them resign their paperwork.

    They have NOT made any attempt to do so, to this day.

    After being made aware of the complaint, realizing they were not coming back in.

    Following Compliance Laws,

    We issued a check to Directions Credit Union in the amount of $2195.00 on Jan. 8th 2024

    Please see attachment.

    Copies of all paperwork have been sent to the customer(s) as well.

    ?Complaint: ********??I am rejecting this response because The company is making false statements. I have contacted them repeatedly during the month of December via phone. Attached are screenshots of just a few times proving I had called them, each time Randy Shirk was not available, and I was told that they would figure it out and call me back. I never received any calls with a solution. My granddaughter went to the business on December 27, 2023 asking for a solution and recorded the conversation with the front desk, attached. He promised he would have Randy call me if not that night, then the next day. I never received a call from Randy Shirk or anyone else SINCE. That is when I decided to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General office. Attached is also a screenshot of my loan and the history of it. I have not received anything in my account in regards to that check. The check shown in their response does not show that it was ever deposited or used.

    On Jan 20, 2023 I went to this used dealership to purchase a car. I told them what I was looking for and amount I had for a used car. I had chose a 2012 Lincoln MKX and was told at time of purchase that only thing wrong with car was a alternator belt or possible tension . After telling me it was just that we took it to their mechanic * *** *** on Alexis RD. After taking car to mechanic they told me then in was not the belt that it was power steering pump failure. The dealership agreed to pay for this problem so I let them attempt to fix it once with no car for 5 days i got it back to find that the problem was never fixed i had loose screws falling out of my panel's and power steering cap was not tight and fluid spilled all over under hood. I was sold a unsafe vehicle and was lied to about what was really wrong with it. To add to the complaint 44 miles was used on my mileage when it was suppose to be in shop for repair. So for second time now my car is at * *** *** being repaired and once again waiting on my car to be fixed to be driven safely. The document I am adding is the Lie they sold me for the amount of $13,760 cash. Selling unsafe vehicles is illegal and it should always be reported. This dealership failed to provide a Car Fax report about vehicle.
