I keep getting bills from a laboratory when I have called them, and my insurance company has called them to resolve this. My insurance company has informed me that they have a capitation agreement with this company and that there is no patient responsibility. SCH Laboratory agrees, and yet they keep sending me the same bills. (One for $680- acct. ********* and one for $21 - *********) Both my insurance company and I tried to call them today and we were both just put on hold indefinitely, even though their recording said second in line, one minute wait time, etc.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/09/21) */ I am responding on behalf of SCH Laboratory Physicians, SC - I am the client representative at their billing company - we were not notified that Northshore had become a part of the group's capitation agreement by Northshore until August 2021. We have updated all accounts, including the one mentioned in this complaint to indicate this, and the patient can disregard any bill received as the patient is not responsible for this balance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and will address all concerns with our customer service department so that these concerns are brought to my attention sooner. I appreciate a response and work towards a solution. However, I have been told this before, and my most recent threatening letters (in red and with COLLECTION AGENCY REFERRAL blasted across the top) is from September. Until I get correspondence in writing about the standing of my account there is no reason to believe this response. Thank you.
