July 10,2022 a noticed was placed that there would be city inspections in all apartments looking for lights that dont work. July 11,2022 I contacted Ronda P**** the apartment manager for more information who referred me to the city inspector ***** ****** and **** *******. I spoke to **** July 11, and expressed my concerns of having someone in my apartment after the incidents i have have at my apartment who assured me that ***** would be the only individual entering and gave me *****s number who I spoke to July 12. ***** was unwilling to work with my work schedule in making an appointment for the inspection however he did note several times he would be the only individual entering the apartment. He said he would be there July 15 or Monday July 18. July 14, I received security camera footage that ***** and 2 maintenance men entered my apartment for 4 minutes. The second maintenance man is seen walking around taking pictures in rooms that do not have lights. I have contacted the apartment manager who has not returned my texts, phone calls, I have called the apartment owner July 14, who did not return my phone call. I contacted an Attorney who advised me to call the Mayor of ********** **** ********. After speaking to **** he informed me that the maintenance men do not work for the city and he has no idea why they were in the apartment taking photos. I signed at the beginning of my lease in November 2020 that no maintenance was to enter my apartment without my presence. My attorney has asked me to obtain a copy of my lease which I have not been provided with.

      Better Business Bureau,
We are in receipt of the resident complaint #********. This resident made a previous complaint #******** that we responded to and was dropped by the BBB as the resident did not respond back. Please review that complaint and response. We do have a resident ***** ******* that lives at ***** ** ******** *** ***** ****, it appears that this resident uses an alias ***** Pircio when making complaints. It appears one further alias ***** ****** was used in a Facebook post of the video (see resident complaint) taken in her apartment of the inspector and maintenance men.
In reply to the current complaint let me start by stating the City of ********* has done yearly in suite inspections since the building was built except for the 2 years of Covid. The policy has always been that the City inspector could go into the suite alone if the resident was home but would have building maintenance when the resident was not home. This is common sense that the inspector would not want to be alone in suites for liability reasons. The complaint that the inspector is there just to check lights, is incorrect, the inspection is thorough. The complaint that her lease states that no maintenance can enter her suite unless she is there is false, no ********* Tower lease has that clause. This resident asked our onsite manager why pictures were taken in her suite. We did not want to escalate this situation but are being forced. In the telephone conversation between ***** and the inspector before the inspection took place, she allegedly told him,” It’s a good way to get shot coming into someone’s apartment”. During the inspection the inspector noticed that the suite was extremely messy but was fearful to write it up and explained to maintenance the veiled threat made above. My maintenance men took the pictures as they knew based on *****’s history that they would be questioned by the resident and wanted evidence.
***** (as ***** ******) also posted on Facebook a video of the inspector and 2 maintenance men. The one maintenance man is seen taking a picture. The captions state “Warning ********* Towers!!!!! During city inspections maintenance men who do not work for the city verified by the Mayor of ********* entered all apartments and took pictures of everyone’s apartments without notice!!!” a further post states “just think everyone should know all of their belongings and home are being documented by strangers.” We have screen shots of these posts. It is a complete fabrication that we took pictures of any suite other than this resident as explained above. It is worse than a falsehood that we are documenting all residents home belongings.
The resident claims she has an attorney, I have also given all documentation concerning this resident to our attorney as to what we now consider libelous and slanderous accusations.
As I stated in our response to the first complaint to you from this resident, we are able to satisfy most of our residents but some we are not. This resident is obviously not satisfied. We will not hold this resident to the lease. If we receive a 30-day notice to vacate in writing we will honor it. If all social media posts and reviews are taken down, we will not pursue legal action. If the resident wants our respective counsels to work that out, please let us know and we will gladly have our attorney reach out to hers.

      Thank you, Joe C**********

      Better Business Bureau:

***** ****** is my legal name it is not an alias. I have no knowledge of any social media reports made and any as far as any allegations made against me are false there is no evidence and that is slanderous. I will be moving out in the spring and request to be left alone and not harassed by maintenance, management.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

      Regards,

At the end of October 2020 I was looking at a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment at Willowick Towers. While in the apartment I was informed the rent was $790. I later found out upon signing my lease that rent was $890. The apartment manager refused to honor the quoted price. December 2020 I had Christmas packages stolen. March 2021, I had a door alarm on my door that had been removed from the doorway prompting the alarm to go off and thrown across the room at 4 am. Authorities arrived, who informed me that they are at Willowick Towers regularly. November 2022, Upon renewing my lease price in rent increased soon to find out only for my apartment. Also in November 2021 someone made an attempt to steal my catalytic converter from my car resulting in damage. December 2021 I had every single package stolen which resulted in me redirecting my packages to a sage location. In 2022 I spoke to the Owner of Coventry Management and expressed my concerns as well as reporting 5 lights were not working in apartment and in response I was belittled and told that renters were to take care of new light bulbs as it I lack common sense. He completely disregarded the acts of theft on his property after I proposed the idea of cameras as a deterrent as they statistically reduce crime by 50%. He laughed and said he wasn’t going to do it. I originally wanted to sign a month to month lease in an attempt to leave however it states rent can go up at anytime. The property manager has a criminal history of theft, and as of May 2022 has attempted to start slanderous rumors about me to other tenants. The property manager also has claimed I did not pay rent one month, and it wasn’t until I provided a video of me placing my rent in the box that she admitted she had received it. I have filmed myself paying rent because there has been nothing but problems with management, lack of professionalism, and common sense.

We are in receipt of the resident complaint. Resident made an online application on 10/26/20. On 10/28/20 the applicant was accepted. On 10/31/20 the applicant paid the security deposit and prorated rent for the 11/6/20 move in. The applicant was told the price that needed paid to move in on the 28th and paid it on the 31st before moving in on the 6th.  No complaint was received concerning a different price. We advertise the amenities offered and they have not and do not include cameras. It is completely false that only this resident received a rent increase when all residents receive rent increases. We are able to satisfy the great majority of our residents but sometimes we are not. This is a case where this resident is not satisfied. We see no need to defend ourselves concerning the insults and innuendo contained in the complaint. We will not hold this resident to the lease. If we receive a 30-day notice to vacate in writing we will honor it.
