On 11-9-2021, Dependable Electric installed a new Electrical Panel and Weatherhead/Service Entrance.(Paid in full $3000) I requested, received and accepted a proposal for additional electrical work including new outlets, cleaning up wiring and troubleshooting and fixing wiring on two back to back GFCI outlets (kitchen & bathroom). On 11-10-21, the work was to be completed in my home. While the additional work was in progress I was told that I would have to pay an additional $600 to have the wiring fixed relating to the kitchen/bathroom outlets itemized on the second proposal. I called Mike Azzarello, the owner questioning this and he responded by yelling at me and aggressively berating me, saying the job was taking more time than expected and how I was trying to take advantage of him when I said I didn't have an additional $600! He then threatened to have his workers rip out the already installed electrical wiring. Taken aback by his tone, level of disrespect and threats, I politely ended the phone call. I did not agree to the bullying tactics from the owner for extra money on promised work and asked the workers to please put the outlets back the way they were previously (useable outlets)... Instead, my house was left without a functioning outlet in the bathroom, and another outlet was completely removed leaving the wires sticking out of the wall in the adjacent kitchen (my GFCI outlet was gone as well). All of the work from the second proposal was NOT completed as promised yet I paid the initial quoted price in full. (Paid in full $1800) The owner, Mike Azzarello, was condescending, intimidating and extremely unprofessional making this expensive electrical work, an unpleasant experience overall.Business response

Company Response:
Our company performed a Main Electric Service Upgrade for *** ******** at her residence on
11-9-2021. The upgrades we perform at our customers homes are very routine for us. We have
a system in place that ensures neatness, cleanliness, efficiency and a resounding desire to not
disrupt our customers’ day. Most of the upgrades we perform take no longer than 4 to 6 hours
and when completed, the areas effected by our work are restored back to the same condition if
not better than before we initially arrived.
Much to our disappointment, the entire time that we were at her home, *** ******** viciously
berated our Company and several of our employees for no apparent reason. We attempted to
address any issues she had but she refused to communicate them. It was very disconcerting
due to the fact that when we first met *** ********, (at her home prior to starting this work) it
was a very pleasant experience. This experience however felt odd; almost as if we were dealing
with a totally different person.
As always, at the completion of our upgrade we performed a courtesy inspection of the
remainder of the home and advised the customer of any additional work that we saw that
needed to be done for the house to be up to code. Much to our surprise, *** ******** asked
for a quote and agreed to have us do the work. Even though we were not happy with the way
*** ******** was treating us, we wanted to try to please her and turn a bad situation into a
good one.

While performing this additional work we ran into an issue were a previous electrician (or
possibly a handyman) had incorrectly wired 2 of her outlets that we had planned on changing to
proper GFCI receptacles (1 bathroom and 1 kitchen outlet). Our quote did not include rewiring
this area as we couldn’t have known about it beforehand and furthermore, it isn’t typically
necessary to rewire an outlet if your changing it to a GFCI. We provided an additional
discounted quote to rewire these outlets and make them safe but *** ******** became
extremely rude and threatening. We explained that we would not reinstall the plugs in this area
due to how unsafe it was so we capped these off in the interim.
On a follow up phone call with the customer, she again became belligerent and at that time, we
ended our relationship with her. We will not allow our employees to be treated in such a manner
by anyone. As a side note, it was later brought to my attention that *** ******** secretly
solicited our crew leader to do additional electrical work for her “on the side”. The funny thing
about this was that this particular employee was one that much of her rudeness was directed to
throughout the day.
Sincerely,**** ********** ********** ******** ***** ********
