I was a patient at Streetsboro Dental for several years. I had a series of work done. A faulty job of a crown resulting in them telling me my tooth cracked and needed a crown. Multiple people have left reviews w a similar experience and had a terrible crown workmanship wise done. I paid around 800 to 1000 and then a year late received a bill telling me I was out of network and that I owe more money. I have tried to talk to ****** the office manager multiple times and she has sworn at me and hung up on me and gradually over the years of talking has refused me to speak to anyone else. I have on multiple occasions requested a statement saying they didn’t bill my new insurance that I provided but an old one for years back and they refused. I also asked for proof of my payments and a copy of the signed bill and agreement and the refuse to send it. They’ve been quiet and then today I found out they sent me to collections after 5 or 6 years and I believe for higher than their original request. I was told my them multiple times that I should have called to verify insurance and they don’t verify. I have never been to a healthcare provider that didn’t run insurance before work. They had two separate appointments two weeks apart and should have checked my insurance and not had me sign a bill to a cost and then bill me a year later saying they didn’t check. I now am going to have a compromised credit score because of them not following their responsibilities and my claim is against them for their unwillingness to provide and waive the debt due to their error made and extremely poor customer service.Business response

Hi ******. Thank you for emailing us about your concern. Here is what I can tell you.............
This case goes back to August 26, 2019. That is the last time we saw you in our office. We did a root canal on a lower right tooth and a filling as well on the same tooth to complete the procedure. We call the filling a "core build-up". It was perfectly done. Your ***** Dental Insurance paid for their portion, but you did not pay for your co-payment. We sent a total of 6 letters to you asking for payment and then we sent you to the Collection agency so that they could collect payment for your services. I attached the ledger to this email so you can see the breakdown.
Bottom line is that you still owe your portion of the payment and now it is in the hands of the Collection Agency. You can pay us directly and we will send payment to the Collection agency or you can pay the Collection Agency. Either method is satisfactory for us at Streetsboro Dental. We believe this is pretty clean and a simple solution. There is no issue with customer service in our office since we worked with you many times, but you still have not paid your balance that is due. If you have issues with ***** and your eligibility then you should contact them since we do not have any direct involvement with your individual dental insurance plan. We simply verify it and the if coverage is stopped for some reason you have to take care of it. We are only permitted to verify information and not deal directly with your individual plan due to **** Privacy Laws. Good luck and let us know how we can help.
