I had Hogg Heating & cooling install a furnace & central air in my small home (885 sq. ft.) in February. They were fast & efficient, and I wrote a nice review thinking they did a terrific job. In April when I turned on the air it would not go below 75. I called Lisa & she sent them out. They said there wasn't enough Freon in it because when they installed it was winter. It still wasn't working so I called back. They came back out & put more Freon 2 more times. It still would only go to 75 when it was 78 outside. She told me to run it all night for 24 hrs. again. On May 10th I called for a second opinion since they were not fixing the problem & they said there was nothing wrong with it. That night the guy said that there was too much Freon & from running for 24 hours like I was told to do could have caused damage to the compressor. He told me to call the company that installed it since it was only 2 months old however Lisa told my husband that since we had someone give a second opinion & look at it that they will not come back & fix the problem. That night my thermostat read 65 degrees however it was very cool outside. That was the only time my thermostat was so low. So now I have a $7,300 system that does not work and a bill that I'm making monthly payments on. Yesterday I had my thermostat on 65 all day & it would not go below 75. I have a 90 year old mother that lives with me & the heat is harmful to her health.Business response

RECEIVED VIA EMAIL BY BBB STAFF MEMBER:
We have serviced your AC unit numerous times. We cannot find any problems. You also stated that you had another company come out to look at it. However, upon numerous requests for that company's diagnosis or recommendations you still have not sent us the original copy as requested. We are going to consider this matter closed.

No where in Hudson’s invoice does it state that it was a terrible installation or that the compressor was compromised. I will reimburse for their invoice. Must have city come to inspect. I will set that up with the city by tomorrow as I am out of office today.Customer response
