A bit tucked of a tucked away gem friends and I discovered by hearing about the Bier-garden eight on the river. I have always had great experiences here with the people and the food. Outdoor patio and live music is fabulous in the warm months! Its a great escape to a uniquely styled restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere & sweet summer vibe outside. The only thing you might notice is they are always busy so you may have a wait because the food is that good - especially the ribeye!

Dinner w/ family on Father’s day(6/18/23): New server(Tristan) made multiple mistakes(no supervision) including forgetting to put in a meal order. My elderly mother was served her meal 20 min. after the rest of us were done eating. Steak was over-seasoned and they claimed they had no more to remake. Acting manager(Nayia) treated us like were were pulling a free-dinner scam. She was very rude with her imaginary authority. A call to the actual manager(Deanna M*******) was worse. She was more worried about her ego and status as “part owner” than she was anything else. She even laughed at me during my complaint and said she was told customers complained about ME that night. So, either her or Nayia was absolutely lying through their teeth and playing a very old game of “discredit the complainant before he/she calls”. I then spoke to another part-owner(Josh) who I met on a prior visit(not a complaint). Josh showed every shade of angry/emotional/unprofessional that I’ve ever seen. He insisted I tell him my complaint while also telling me that he was the same as Deanna & couldn’t do anything as far as her conduct. He went even further by telling me how great of a person she was & asking how he could judge her. I suggested “impartially”. He even went as far as telling me about personal issues he was dealing with as he became more & more impatient with me. He went from refusing to let me speak with the owner(Mark K******) to walking into somewhere and handing Mark his cell phone. I was at work, so I arranged to speak with Mark 2 days later. He agreed to call me during a 2-hour time window and give me 5 minutes of his time. He never called. All I wanted from Mark was to for him to speak with the people involved and caution them about proper conduct and stress future professionalism. I was very clear that I didn’t want anything free. I heard the term “family business” over and over. If that means “unprofessional, prejudicial, dishonest, and unaccountable”, then I agree.
