In September 2020 I purchased a york furnace and ac unit. After installation was done I noticed air leaks from around the furnace. So I covered them up with duct tape. Then in the spring I noticed water dripping from the 2 copper lines that go into the furnace, and it was landing on top. So I called and the technician put putty around the spot. Awhile later same problem, and the next technician put more foam around the leak... So 7 technicians later I still have a leak landing onto my furnace, which I have a rag down to soak up the water. I sent Dan Pienta pictures, and all I received was a thanks ****..please resolve this safety and fire Hazzard issue.

On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, Fry HVAC sent a technician to the client's home. The technician identified the source of the condensation leak and applied a fix that is expected to be permanent. The technician ran the equipment to test the fix and determined that the problem was solved. The client incurred no additional charges and said they were satisfied with the solution. At this time, the complaint is believed to be resolved.

Feb.. 17 2022 I'm a senior citizen Charged me $178 to turn on two garage furnaces. One stayed on the other would not turn on. Called them ( on Feb. 21)to come back out, but they said they would have to charge me again! This is not right!

Customer called us regarding 2 furnaces in their garage that had been OFF for 2 years. They requested that we come out and attempt to get the units up and running. They accepted the dispatch fee of $99.00. Note that the dispatch fee is standard on every call and is the cost to get us in the door.

The technician arrived, noticed that the age of the units was significant (30+ years). The tech was rightfully concerned that there may be hidden defects that could lead to a Carbon Monoxide leak. The tech spent 1 hour on-site and performed a full inspection and start-up on the units. Both units were deemed to be working properly at that time. The cost of the service was $79.00, bringing the total to $178.00. The customer paid the full invoice at time of service.

We do not have any record or recollection of an additional call after February 17th. However, our standard operating procedure is to waive the dispatch fee (at minimum) on callbacks. There are several HVAC companies in the area. It is possible that the customer called one of them instead of us.

We purchased a brand new gas furnace from Fry Heating and Cooling on 7/27/21 . The furnace came with a 10 year parts and labor warranty written on the receipt. On 11/20/21, our furnace stopped working and we called Fry. They told us they did not have a technician available at the moment because it was a busy weekend, and suggested that we call another technician to take a look at it because it was cold and the heat was not working. A family friend familiar with furnaces came over and found out our unit had a bad circuit board. He left the circuit board out of the furnace so that it would be easier for the Fry technicians to diagnose and replace. After about 5 hours, the Fry technician finally showed up and once he saw the circuit board was out of the furnace, he refused to service our unit and said our warranty was void because someone else had worked on it. Mind you this is a brand new furnace that was only 3-4 months old and had hardly been ever used up to that point. They ended up charging me $929.03 dollars to replace the part. I would like a refund for the repair, and I would also like my 10 year parts and labor warranty re-instated, which is the main reason I bought from Fry in the first place. This unit is brand new and I should not have to deal with this kind of service.

Just let you know I called this company last week many times to come and check the furnace cause it's acting up and not holding the temperature in the house but they keep ignoring me tell ******** who works for them said they are not serving me any more at all .
I called the Lucas county inspection department on 1/13/22 to send an inspector to check there work there answer was they can't do inspection cause fry HVAC never pull a permit and they are not supposed to do the job first place before they pull a permit witch they charged me for it as showing on the receipt 100.00 for the furnace and 100 for the AC.
I will call a different HVAC company to do the inspection and to do a report and I will keep you posted.
