Where to begin w this nightmare contractor. Hired in February. Paid half down on 2 roofs. Tried firing in May but was told "I'll get there boss! You paid a lot of money down I don't want u to lose on, your a great person." implying he would keep my money. So we agreed both roofs complete by end of June. Around June 16ish they began 1st roof. Took over 2 weeks to remove old shingles, replace minimal wood decking and membrane. They didn't remove shingle in front of dormer on top roof til after lower roof was installed. Meaning old shingles were dropped straight onto a new roof. There were no tarps laid out so we are still finding nails and debris. They didn't cover the 2 new ac condensers outside so those show damage and are full of debris. Old shingles and flashing were thrown onto separate garage roof and left behind. An old air compressor died on the job so they left it on my property. Employees started arguments w the neighbor lady, and both my tenants. I was told by 1 tenant an employee started "I'm fresh outta prison and will beat your ass". The other tenant heard this verifying it to me, only reason I mentioned it here. They removed gutter straps from roof decking but didn't cut the strap off the gutter so there's straps all around the house looking funny. The roof caps appear mismatched colors and we're not trimmed at roof line. It also rained twice during this 3 week install that should have taken 2 days. Oh yea, he bait and switched the product. Sold me on 50 year certainteed shingles then showed up w iko 15 year shingles. I checked w *******'s building supply on the ikos. Currently have 1 unit open and it appears the flashing around chimney was installed wrong and I have evidence of water damage in another room as well. My last text to him was in July "Still need extra clips cut off and final bill w correct materials and warranty info. It's been another 3 weeks man." Now I get the pleasure of having it all inspected by 3rd party and possibly lawyer up.

2-1-23 - 9-27-23 I have work with this contractor From February up until the end of July. The Contractor has not met deadlines at all and continued to have reasons why the job is not done. The work that has been paid for has been incomplete and horrible quality work. I have decided to try to sell this 4 unit building because of the amount of money he charged for the poor work. During the time I have been trying to sell I have had several contractors come through and tell me they could not buy at the price I need to break even due to HOW MUCH work would have to be completely redone. The Contractor in which I paid money to for purchase of roofing materials and Windows cancelled the orders once he found out I would not be moving forward with him and kept all the money. He states I owed him 6,450.00$ and the roofing and window material cost was 13,558.00$. His work was again very bad and I let him know I needed all my material money returned and a punch list written and signed by both of us stating all the work that needed repaired or completed and once it was I would pay him the Balance. He keeps refusing to write a punch list signed by both of us and will not pay me my material money. He has been awful when it comes to not only the work done, the inability to get work done in a timely manner, but also cleaning up after themselves. I had to ask for 4 weeks over and over for him to come clean up after the work that was done and paid for. He continues to ignore me and states he has spoke with an attorney but has not tried to resolve this at all. This has been the worst contractor experience I have ever had and not only do I want all my material money returned but I do not want any one else to have to deal with a company that is so dishonest and does terrible work. With him never installing my windows and then cancelling the order my building has developed mold where he just boarded over windows on my new drywall as well causing buyer to back out!
