I recieve phone calls from Nation Lending 4 times a day every day for the past two weeks. I have explained to the salesmen that I am not shopping for a mortgage and to please stop calling me. The calls never stop and it's from a different number every time so they are unblockable.

Upon receiving the complaint from Mr. ******, Nations Lending Corporation immediately began an investigation.  It was found that the contact information for him provided in this complaint did not match any file on Nations Lending's call list.  We reached out to Mr. ****** to confirm the contact information provided in the original complaint.  Mr. ****** responded to Nations Lending and confirmed the information was correct and that the calls have stopped.  Nations Lending is closing this matter.

This company’s website was down for some time when I was attempting to make my monthly mortgage payment at the end of November. I then received an e-mail stating that it was operational again so I attempted to make my payment, still prior to the end of the month. When I did this the website stated that there was an error and to try again later. I did so and received the same error message. I later received two emails stating that two payments had been received. I was unable to speak with any people through their voice service. I did not receive a response through their email either. Now two separate payments have been withdrawan from my bank account and this has also caused an overdraft fee. I again brought this to their attention and requested a refund and reimbursement of the overdraft fee and have still not received a response. They refuse to get back to me. Every summer I also receive threatening letters from them stating that my home owner’s insurance has lapsed but this is because they don’t seek a payment from the insurance company until the expiration date.

Nations Lending coordinated with the customer's loan servicer to reverse the additional payment and reimburse him for the bank overdraft fee.  We called the customer to close out the complaint, but there was no response.  A voicemail message was left with the customer to close out the complaint and confirm the actions taken.

AN insurance check was issued and all documents were provided for an insurance claim. The lender is holding the money in an escrow account and during this time interest rates have occurred and they have caused significant mental anguish holding funds that are not theirs.

I was going to do s mortgage refinance with nations lending, everything seemed fine until I got the paper work stating 20k cost so refinancing my home for 52k cash out they wanted 20k of it. After we discussed that I was refinancing to pay of credit cards. If they took the 20k I couldn't pay them off. So basically it was pointless to do so. I am getting pressured to sign the loan even though I do not want too

On June 7th 2022 I requested a rate lock with my mortgage company Nations Lending. My mortgage office is ***** **** located in ************ *******. ***** requested I send $7,000 to his office, which I did. On June 10th 2022 ***** text me a picture of my check to verify he received it. ***** sent the check to rate lock department located in Independence Ohio. Over the next few months I repeating asked why the check hasn’t cleared, ***** told me it takes awhile. October 2022 Nations Lends send me a new loan es***ate reflecting changes in the amount of the loan the rate stated 6%. Immediately I called requesting why the rate was 6% not the 4.75% . I was told that the original 4.75% was never locked and my check was lost and I should put stop payment. I had to apply for a new rate lock at 5.75% in October which will cost me tens of thousand in interest over the loan, also the mortgage payment increase by $600 a month . I have repeatedly asked Nations Lending to honor the 4.75% rate lock as it was their miss handling. I even offered to send another $7000 check. As to date I have not heard back on a decision. Mr *** ******* is the decision maker also the regional manger. Mr. ******* told ***** **** he would call but has not to date. I called Nations Lending office in Independence Ohio to file a complaint and they told me someone should call me back no one ever did. I entered into this with good faith, due to Nations Lending miss handling of the request they should be honorable and honor the original rate lock . I have emails and text backs this complaint. I would like to add this is a VA loan and this is how the show their gratitude for veterans.

Nations Lending Corporation (“NLC”) has received the concern filed by **** ********* on November 9, 2022. A member of NLC’s management team reviewed the relevant business records and spoke with employees who worked on the transaction. Mr. ********* is concerned because he states that he paid a lock fee this summer to secure the interest rate on his loan application, but his loan was not locked.

In reviewing the file, the Loan Estimate provided to Mr. ********* in June disclosed that his expected interest rate was not locked. Mr. ********* sought an extended rate lock for his transaction and NLC only provides such locks upon payment of a lock fee. NLC did not receive the payment for the lock fee until October, at which time the rate was locked. A subsequent disclosure in October does show a locked rate. Our investigation indicates that Mr. *********’s check to pay for the lock was delayed and did not reach the proper department for several weeks. Because of changing economic conditions, the rate available at the time his payment was received was higher and the originally disclosed was no longer available to be provided.

NLC personnel have been in touch directly with Mr. ********* and offered an accommodation in light of the circumstances. It is our understanding that Mr. ********* has found this proposal acceptable and is continuing with his transaction. NLC considers this matter resolved and closed.

After speaking with Nations Lending 11/23/22. I was offered a mortgage loan rate of 5.75 %.

I requested a better offer closer to the original offer. At this time I was told that the original mortgage loan that was offered to me from Nations Lending, not disclosing the loan was not truthful as it would of been denied. I was mislead by a A license, mortgage officer, representing nations lending. I still believe this matter is not resolved.

      Business response

      12/05/2022

Mr. ********* applied for financing with Nations Lending and was provided disclosure paperwork stating that his interest rate was not locked. While Mr. ********* asserts many things, our inquiry was unable to confirm all his claims and has determined that Mr. *********'s loan application accurately reflected the terms of the transaction as it was known to all parties.

Nations Lending has attempted to provide Mr. ********* with a financing offer as close to his desired terms as possible as an accommodation for his dissatisfaction, but is not able to offer a loan on the same terms as last summer given the current state of the market. Although Mr. ********* initially indicated that this was acceptable, he has since submitted additional complaints through his state agencies and Nations Lending will address his issues through that process.

Complaint taken over the phone by BBB Staff SE In August 2022 I wanted to refinance my home and was told that I did not have to pay for the termite inspection. The inspection was completed and then the loan was put on hold. Now they are telling me that I owe money for the termite inspection $150 as they agreed they would.

      Business response

Nations Lending Corporation (“NLC”) received the concern filed by ******* ********** on 10/6/2022. A member of NLC management team contacted all parties involved to get a better understanding of the concern. Mr. ********** is concerned that his termite inspection has not been paid for by NLC. The agreement between Mr. ********** and his loan originator was that his termite inspection would be covered by NLC at closing. However, closing did not occur. We understand that this was a misunderstanding and will cover the cost of the termite inspection as a courtesy. I have discussed these findings with Mr. ********** and we consider this matter resolved and closed.

I do not accept their response.
They told me that it was not company policy to ask me the one simple question if I own the land or not!
The person I was working with when we first started the process look up my home with ******. Right there they notice it was in a company park!
I felt like it should be company policy to ask each customer if they own the land or not. Or whatever will disqualify them for a loan! I will not go silent! I want them to do what is right and stop acting like they did nothing wrong!

We refinanced with Nations Lending in August 2021. In our discussions with the agent that we were working with, we made very clear that we were looking to lower our monthly payment and if we were just going to end up with an escrow shortage the next year and end up paying more again that we were not interested in refinancing for another 30 years. Over several conversations the agent guaranteed us over and over that the way Nations lending works with the payment, it assures that an escrow shortage would not happen and this is what we would be paying, if not possibly less in the future. This again, was talked about several times. However, this past June 2022, we received an escrow shortage notice from Nations Lending of $2,975.80 and our monthly payment went up by almost $300 more a month. This now put us at a higher monthly payment than we had with our previous mortgage provider. When I tried to reach out to our agent, I got no response. When I recently tried to call, the phone is shut off. I have no idea if he works there anymore. We were bold face lied to about this mortgage. We were repeatedly given false promises for Nations Lending to gain a loan. I have never regretted a decision more in my life and this situation was truly unprofessional and dishonest.

Nations Lending Corporation (“NLC”) received the concern filed by ***** ********** on 09/09/2022. A member of NLC management team contacted all parties involved to get a better understanding of the concern. Mr. ********** was concerned that his late mortgage payment was caused by NLC. His wife, Mrs. **********, signed an Obligation to Continue with Monthly Payments in May. Her loan originator advised her not to spend the funds for her June mortgage payment in case the refinance was not completed in June, and she would need to make that payment. The refinance did not happen in June and the mortgage was not paid until July for June’s payment. It is the customer’s responsibility to continue making their current mortgage payments until their refinance transaction is complete. I came to nations lending to refinance my home. I was told that we would be able to close on as little as 14 days but no longer than 30. We are now reachine 45 days! They loan officer wont return calls and text, continues to ask for documents that i have already provided, did not schedule the correct appraisal, and scheduled a late foundation inspection that continues to postpone the process. They also asked me to not pay my current mortgage payment because they would have the new loan closer in time and now im paying late fees as well as playong catch up on 2 months of mortgage payments!
