I hired HD to install a water softener & new insides of 2 toilets at my home & install a water softener & floodlight camera at my mom's residence. ***** & helper did show as promised on 5/14. They "completed" the project at my home then proceeded to my mom's house. After ***** called me to confirm "completion" at my mom's home, I asked him how it went w/ the floodlight camera. ***** stated he "forgot" about it but assured me he would install the floodlight camera by Tues, 5/18. He demanded I still pay the full $870 we agreed upon by phone. I paid him in full then. I gave him a chance to make it right w/ completing my mom's flood light camera install before contacting BBB. ***** has now lied to me 2x about getting my mom's floodlight camera installed on 2 other dates after he "forgot" to do it on the 1st visit.Today, both the water softeners aren't working properly. My 1 toilet is still running & the other flushes very loud, my mom's floodlight camera is still not installed. Pls help.Business response

Mr. **** filed a dispute and attempted to recover his payment through PayPal as that was the provider he been invoiced through and paid me with. He did this whilst simultaneously filling the complaint with the BBB and trying to collect funds there as well. PayPal initially froze the funds but after reviewing all the info they made a determination in my favor and released my funds back to me. I will add additional details as needed if there are any missing spots. There are also tons of messages that I will attach that he mistakenly left out in the PayPal case and I would assume that may be the case again so I will provide everything needed. As you go through the pdf files you will notice there is a brief explanation with each different set and type of documentation. Mr. **** may potentially be in the process of having a lawsuit filed against him for libel. His claim is totally false and the supposed problems were only raised after I refused to meet his demands to do work that was not contracted or charged for. This customer also did not allow us to try and remedy the warranty situation. This customers brother in-law who is also a contractor and also recommended this customer to us tried to inspect the issues that are being presented but was refused by the customer and was told he was either with or against him and would not be allowed to inspect our work. This customer is completely lying and may be sued due to how he has continued to make false claims and fake reviews. I will attach all of his messages where he demanded the free work, threatened myself and our company several times and made false claims. If you notice this is his 3rd attempt to try and steal money back for the work that was provided. He first sent a request for just over $100, then just over $400 and now this new amount. This customer is a scammer and a liar. The proof is detailed in the invoices, text messages and FB messages. Additionally Mr. **** tried to use his "connections" at the BBB to threaten myself and my business. All of the documentation providing the specific detail pertaining to this case have been condensed into 5 .pdf files. I will submit those at once for further review.
