Poseidon provide a quote to repair our pool. They did the repair. When we contacted another business to power wash and paint our pool they discovered that Poseidon didn’t repair the pool correctly. Therefore, they had to repair the pool. This cause us to pay additional monies which should have been repaired by Poseidon. We desire an adjustment and refund on the incomplete repairs.Business response

Hello,
As soon as I read the complaint I reached out to ***** ****** to further discuss. I had not received any communication regarding any problems with the repairs. She said that I would have to speak with **** and that she would put him in touch with me. He contacted me later that same day and explained that whomever he hired to perform repairs (did not provide a company name) had to re-do some of our repair work from 2020. I told **** that we offer a guarantee on our work and I would have more than willingly looked at any concerns that he or ***** had with our service. Since he never contacted me once informed by other company, I never had an opportunity to service or advise him on the situation. I told **** that under no circumstances would I pay another company to perform warranty repairs without the opportunity to look at the situation. **** said I was mad at him since he did not pay his winterizing invoice that we had sent him in the fall of 2020. When I tried to get payment on this invoice once it became past due, ***** contested that I told them I would winterize the pool at no charge. I had no notes or recollection of this, but I simply stated we had performed a lot of additional work to remove loose and pealing paint so they could use the pool without painting it last year. I had done this in good faith assuming that they would have us paint it at some future point, since that's what they had indicated last year. I was not mad, just disappointed that they chose not to pay this invoice and I let it go with no follow-up to collect this amount (not a huge amount $245.06). Once I explained this to ****, I believe he understood my position. If he still believes that they have a valid complaint, then I contest it because once again, I was never given the opportunity to even look at the situation. I still have no idea what was involved from a cost and repair perspective, but I do not feel I have any obligation to the complaint under the circumstances.

We didn’t contact Poseidon because weren’t please with the work they performed. We paid almost 13,000.00 for our pool to be repaired. They were charging an additional almost 300.00 to close and the work wasn’t completed. When they closed the pool they didn’t cover the pool with the tarp. We believed the price we paid included pool closing and antifreeze. I don’t think we should have to pay an additional fee after spending that amount of money. We were very discouraged. The company has been in business many years and as a customer couldn’t they have contacted us to resolve the additional monies. If you have a disagreement with a company would you be inclined to contact them again with unresolved issues that they believe we still owned them monies. This was a very volatile time with the COVID pandemic and other uncertainties.
