They raise some of their prices when sale prices are to take effect. They charge more sometimes than the items originally cost. I strongly feel that many items are being skimmed from the lots of goods before they are ever presented on the store shelves as it is more profitable for them to sell them elsewhere.I do not fault them for trying to make a buck. However, I do feel that their actions, though legal, are lacking in ethics and morality. It would also be nice if they hired folks who spoke English as it is sometimes a challenge to communicate with some of their staff members.I have nothing else to say except that I now visit the store 2-3 times a week rather than daily as I once did. Valley Thrift's business practices will put me on the garage sale circuit again this summer.Such is life in the bullrushes!

This store is not accepting tax exempt from organizations (we are a non profit school). They are making money off of their tax exempt customers by not approving. The tax exempt organization purchasing from their store has to go through their accounting with the IRS to get their money back. When asked to talk with manager or given a name of someone to talk to they said the customer can go no further than them. I felt as if the staff was uncomfortable telling me they could give me no names, or who was in charge, or if I could talk with someone. The woman they went to and gave my business card (I asked for someone to call me- never did) was in charage. I approached that woman 'in charge' and she refused to talk with me, but did say no one would call me back and they have not. I then went online to find out who to talk, email, snail mail and there is no one. The only thing I found was a branch manager name, Tim K****** and there is no way to contact him via phone or email either. The Valley Thriftstore I was at on Reading Rd is considered Corporate office and there is no way to contact them. This does not seem to be an upstanding business if you can't even talk to anyone or address an issue. Also, is it leagle to not accept tax exempt?
