Ran my credit without me even finding a car there that I was interested in. I did a pre-qual on cars.com, but never asked to them to run a hard inquiry when I haven’t even found a car yet. 1st they brought us a car that I didn’t ask for, then I was also told that I could not used custom finance loans (3rd party loans) on their cars that were on the lot for a long time that were marked way down because they would lose money. That’s the only reason I was there was because of that particular car with that particular price! Should have told me so I could have saved a trip. And save a hard inquiry apparently. Then when searching for cars on the lot, salesman did not listen to the specific options that I required, and then had me test drive a car that I ended up liking and then told me the payment was going to be $150 more than what I told him my max budget was! Poor customer service. Even if I find another car that I like that ends up being at that car lot, I will pass and keep looking else, saving myself the headache.Ricart Response

My understanding is the customer needs an engine replacement for her Escape. The service contract company has one on order and should be here by the 5th. Once we have the part it will take about 2 to 3 business days to install. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Review from Denise R

I think the service department cheated me on my right to return to me my Hyundai Kona 2020 back the same way it was before they worked on it they had my car from June 5th until August 3rd and still haven't fixed it I've been depressed for not having my car I missed July 4th with my family and my 67th birthday party because they had my car All because of something I didn't know about the HYUNDAI company had to put on my car I think it's POOR customer service and not fair to the customer... We are sorry for the delay this may have caused. We verified the concern the vehicle starts and stops intermittently. Hyundai informed us they have no fix at this time for aftermarket remote starts. We suggested the consumer returned to an aftermarket shop to correct the disabling of the remote start.Review from Sue T

This business is so desperate for sales that they will lie, cheat and lie again. If you’re a woman, it’s even worse! They will smile on your face and then stab you in the back. I can name at least 6 different people I had to talk to for this horrible, long, drawn out, unfriendly degrading experience! There isn’t enough words for me to explain the 7 hours over three days of misery I spent with them. Was so apprehensive in buying the Hyundai Iconic5 and showed it when we talked. I was enticed with incentives that of course were over on July 1. I was the June 30th. Kept pushing me on that issue 2.49%, military discount and so on. Thinking that I had 3 days to change my mind I decided to sign the paperwork, not realizing that it wasn’t for a return and get my trade in back, it was for an exchange! And only for a Hyundai! And my interest rate would go up, I didn’t get the military discount, I didn’t get my car back after only having the other vehicle for less than 19 hours! And only driven it home! I was told by Lorenzo and Jason that the car had already been funded and I cannot get my trade in back! I could only exchange it! It was my only option they said! Because the loan had already been funded. Then another finance guy told us we were lucky that the loan hadn’t been funded yet….after we signed for the vehicle we were forced to buy! RICART IS DEVIOUS AND HAS NO AND I MEAN NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO HONESTY AND VERY DESPERATE FOR SALES! ITS STRANGE THAT WE HAVE TO TELL THEM ALL OF OUR MOST PRIVATE HONEST INFORMATION TO GET A VEHICLE AND THEY DO NOT HAVE TO GO BY THE SAME STANDARDS! How is that?????Ricart Response

We are sorry the customer is dismayed with their purchase decision. The sales staff went over the vehicle, customer test drove and seemed very happy. Their first vehicle was funded a few hours after signing. The next day the customer was no longer happy with their purchase decision. We informed them we never offered a 3 day cooling period at their time of delivery, We can offer to trade them into another vehicle since the Finance Company funded for their brand new Iconic5. The customer accepted the offer of exchanging for another brand new vehicle. We hope the customer will enjoy their brand new vehicle they choose.Review from Carl L

Our Kia Soul was stolen and damaged. We had it towed to Ricart Kia to have inspected and repaired. There inspection was pencil whipped as ok without proper analysis. Their ignition / steering column repair wasn’t properly fixed, vehicle suspension was damaged but not analyzed to repair, sunroof remained damaged, and broken glass remained in the car. All of this after being told it was completed and could be picked up. Because of this inadequate service the unsafe car had to be towed to a non Kia reputable collision center for proper inspection and repairs. Save yourself the grief of dealing with this poor Ricart culture. Gave them several opportunities to resolve but Ricart doesn’t seem to care.Ricart Response

We apologized for the services received. Our miscommunication getting the customer vehicle detail was not completed. We provided the customer with a loaner vehicle while completing the detail and adding the Kia emblem. The sunroof was not written up by the insurance carrier so no work was done. Once the detail and emblem were completed the vehicle was towed to a body shop to complete the sunroof repair. Again, we apologize for the services received. Hi, I’m 20 years old and I decided to buy my first car at Ricart when I was 19. They made me feel pressured into buying a car that was from 2016 without showing me the car facts first. After putting $7,000 down to purchase my car I still have to pay $300 every month. I was not told about how long the car had sat in the lot, and that the car was very rusty. They also had issues getting my tags and title and giving the information so that I can pay for my car every month. Overall, they are slimy and unorganized. I hope the business fails and the employees that “helped” me will get what’s coming to them.Ricart Response

I reviewed the file and see her purchase was in July 22, 2022. We did our used car inspection July 12, 2022. I have a signed Carfax in her file and will be happy to share that with her if she still needs that. We are sorry to hear of any frustration regarding her purchase.Review from Marko P

I am very displeased with the unprofessional service that I recieved from Ricart used car sales department on 5/11/2023 I went to get my an evaluation on my 2018 Hyundai Sonata that I purchased from Ricart last year the only reason that I returned is because they sent several trade in letters . I arrived at 12:15pm to have the vehicle evaluated and received a quote which was $15,500 . So I told them I would go over to sales to check out the inventory of what was available. Mind you I have purchased TWO vehicles from ricart the first is a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. And then that same year I purchased the 2018 Sonata limited. I have an "exceptionally" great pay history never have a payment been missed . But when I went to go purchase the 2020 Black Sonata SEL PLUS . they took all day with the financial department acting like they couldn't find anyone to finance me...how could that be when I'm with Hyundai Finance Co & Associated Bank auto finance. They had me there for 7hours waiting I even went to get proof of income like they ask me to. Then after waiting in the lounge to speak with the financial office the salesman comes to me as says I'm sorry I need more information???? At this point I'm getting unsettled I simply told the salesman I could not wait there any longer and if they are going to make a decision then call me in the morning..oh I forgot they told me before I went to wait in the lounge that everything was good and I was going to be with KEMBA financial. The next morning I called twice spoke to the salesman who I was doing all the paperwork with he told me he would call me within an hour that was at 10am again I waited for a call... I'm not sure who they think has time to waste waiting all day and all morning on a simple situation as assigning a auto finance company to me since I have TWO vehicles with excellent payment history. So after all said and done I called for the last time and I was told that I needed 3yrs proof of income. I called that "basis"Ricart Response

I had a red 2014 Nissan Juke to trade in for a Lexus. They ran a Carfax on it and found that it had been damaged and repaired in the rear. They offered me $3000 for it. The sales manager told me that he could only offer that much because of the damage. We squabbled over the price. I asked for $4500. He said he would split the difference and gave me $3750 because he would only be able to sell it at an auction because they don't sell damaged cars on their lot. One week later, they advertised this damaged vehicle on their website for $12000+. Beware, not only is he an out and out liar, he is also selling damaged goods.Review from Dylan T

OK, after reading these reviews, I now understand that all the problems I’ve encountered at ricart are part of their larger corporate culture. They will openly and bold face lies about repairs needing done. They told me I needed new tires when I just got brand new tires. They also told me I needed a brand new air filter because mine was filthy. It’s sparkling white because I just replaced it that week. Beyond this they are completely incompetent. I took my car there for repair. I had to pay almost 3 weeks additional on a rental car because “they accidentally forgot to call me.” There is no accountability or structure in that place. They are all liars, cheats, morons and con artists. avoid at all costs.
