      I have had trouble with this company since we have signed the papers to buy the house. They all have lied to me and my wife since the beginning and then they refused to do any work to fix their mess ups. It has gotten so bad that they will no longer deal with us that they are making us go through the manufacture of the house we bought. No I have a shower that has been reported that it was bad it has cracks in the floor of it. And they will no longer fix it and will no longer call me back or anything to resolve this issue. I uploaded pictures of the cracks in the floor and the emails where I had to contact Clayton homes and still haven’t had anyone come to fix it

      I have checked with our Service Manager and find that we have been to this house many times to take care of any problem that they may have had. We turned the crack in the tub/shower issue over to the factory and I understand that that they went to the home but could not find the crack? The home is out of warranty and it is clear that the issue with the crack should be the responsibility of the factory to make the decision of what to do. We will be happy to call the customer and the factory if that is what they would like for us to do. It should also be noted that our service man (****) has been to the home on several occasions and made whatever repairs were needed.       We purchased a double wide from French City Homes at the end of June 2021. Due to weather and scheduling of other customers our home was delivered on August 2, 2021. I understand this completely. The sales end of our transaction was fine, although maybe more information for future buyers about a timeline for set up would be beneficial. Since August 2nd, the brick work and waterproofing around the foundation have been completed. We have yet to have French drain, water, sewer, inside trim/ finishing inside completed. We have been very patient and asked many times when things are going to be finished. I am aware of unforeseen delays due to weather or sickness, but it’s unacceptable to have our home for 6 weeks and no work done . We have already made our first house payment and it stands to reason we should be able to live there. I ask for help to get it completed quickly and efficiently. Im not expecting too much, we did pay for it and the mortgage co has paid them. Time to finish

      Part of the reason for the delays is that our office was hit very badly with the covid. We were without our sales manager, service manager, outside site supervisor and lot manager for more than a week. We are all back now and I have checked the schedule. The backgrade and trim out of the house should be completed this week and then we will schedule a walk thru. We ar sorry for any problems this has caused.

      Dear BBB, I *** **** is filing a complaint against French City home in Gallipolis, OH. I have sent several emails phone calls. My furnace unit which it sounds like the fan rubbing. They sent someone to look at it and it was not resolved. They have ignored some of my calls and emails. It is getting worse every day. I have a video with the sound recording and the emails I have sent. Thank you for your time on this matter.

      FURNACE NOISE: The customer contacted our office several times about the furnace making too much noise. The customer had their own heat pump installed on the home. We sent our hvac person to check it out and he said he could find nothing wrong out of the ordinary with the furnace. We also sent our serviceman at a latter date and he found nothing wrong and no excessive noise. Mrs. ****s brother called our office and talked to Corey J****** (service mgr.) and told him that he thought the bearings were bad in the furnace. Corey contacted the factory and they are sending a new blower motor to install on the furnace. Corey talked to Mrs. **** last week and told her that when it comes in he will call her and she can come and pick it up at no charge. It should also be noted that they are over a year out of their warranty date. Thank you, JD S*****

      French City Homes Did order  the Motor for the furnace. Which I appreciated. But Mr S***** has it wrong about the furnace man they sent to fix it. They sent only one person. I think the new one should be mail to me. I will have someone fix but the company pay  for after fixed. I won’t give them no more problems. Thanks

      After talking to our service manager, he said that he was at the house to change a rear door and said he did not find anything wrong with the furnace at that time.. The HVAC  man was there at a different time and they both reported that they did not think there was a problem. As I stated before, the mfg. is sending us the furnace motor and we will take care of any charges that we may get for the motor (if any). We will be more than happy to send the motor to Mrs. **** at our expense but feel that under the circumstances, she will need to have it installed on her furnace at her expense. If she would like our service man to come and install it at the usual service fee charge , we will certainly be glad to do that.
