We signed up two of our daughters to play recreational indoor soccer at Kingdom Sports Center on January 5, 2021 for a total cost of $170 on the basis of their registration flyer stating "No select players or teams." One of our daughters' teams was scheduled to play two games in a row (which was a surprise in itself) on the leagues first day or games. Both teams we played were select teams (parents of the opposing teams told our team's parents they were indeed select teams), and my daughters team lost more than 10-0 both games, with their team going past the midline toward their goal only once in two games. It was humiliating for the players and coaches. After that day, we decided to move our daughter to another indoor soccer facility that would truly have a recreational league. I sent an e-mail on January 18 explaining our concerns and requesting a refund. That refund request was refused, and three follow-up e-mails were sent (January 20, 23, February 3), the first two of which did not get a response. Because of switching one daughter, we switched both daughters so we aren't driving to two different locations for games. The switch would not have been made if the league would have followed their own registration rules, so we feel that a refund is due for both registration fees.
