On July 29th, I took my **** ********** ****** to be checked our for a shake/clicking noise while driving and turning. The repair servicemen there diagnosed the problem and said that the front axle needed to be replaced, and the repair would be done the following week. When I called about the vehicle the following week, they told me that the part was lost and that I would have to wait on a new part to be shipped in, and supposedly one was ordered the week after which was supposed to arrive this week. They offered to "Buy a part from ******** and fix it in a couple of hours" but then the vehicle would no longer be under warranty and the entire expense for diagnostic and repair would fall on me. This frustrated me, but I let it go and told them I would be fine waiting a week for the Volkswagen part under warranty, but asked for a loaner in the meantime. I was told that I was at the top of the list to receive a loaner vehicle, but I have not been offered one throughout the duration of this 3 week period. I have called multiple times this week and it turns out there is no part for my vehicle. I have gotten varying stories from Volkswagen that either the part was never sent, or ***** lost it in transit. I don't know what the truth is. So now, because I have appointments to make, I am taking back the vehicle until the repair part comes in, and still awaiting a loaner that is supposedly coming sometime in the future. They told me it could take months for the part to come in, and I don't know what to believe. The conflicting stories about the lost part make me unconfident about what is actually happening, and I am being left in a spot without my primary vehicle. The offers to repair it out of warranty struck me as odd too. This has been a headache for weeks and will probably continue to be one for the forseeable future. It has caused numerous issues in my schedule, and quite honestly it gives me anxiety still. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
