      I hired Bell Moving & Storage in November 2021 to move us about 10 miles from our 5 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment. Obviously we had gotten rid of a large portion of our belongings in order to do this. We were quoted $1450 for our move and ended up paying $1970. So, all in all, a little distressing but that is not what I was really upset about. When speaking with the person at this company they touted how this was a family company and they only had employees and not sub-contractors to move us. Well when the day of the move came, the movers showed up obviously baked out of their gourds. The smell of weed came off them in waves. And it showed in the move. I've never seen moving people move at such a glacial pace. I was so concerned that they were going to damage something that I was completely distracted from everything else going on. Once they finally had us loaded, we started on our 10 mile trek and they drove behind us passing a joint between each other for the entire ride. Once we arrived is when the real slow down started. I had to go check on them multiple times in the loading dock area only to find them talking, missing or getting high again. When they finally finished, I wasn't surprised that this went over to the tune of $500.00.When the company reached out for me to do a survey, I responded with everything telling them how disappointed i was, and felt this contributed to the extra time we had to pay for. I received a message from them telling me that someone would reach out to me to talk about this as they were very concerned. Well, that never happened, so I can only assume it's a bunch of bull when they are talking the whole "we are a family company". I guess their family is a bunch of potheads. Not only is this irresponsible, it's dangerous and illegal. I only wrote this now because I am moving again and it was top of mind when I started researching moving companies. It's a shame because this business already gets a bad enough rap.

      We hired Bell to move load and unload a few large items from our home. Specifically, a couple of mattresses, bed frame, a kitchen table, tv stand and couch. They gave us a two hour time period of when they would arrive. No one arrived in the time frame and we were unable to get ahold of anyone so we had everything loaded into the truck besides the big furniture items and had to pay for a truck rental and waste money because we were waiting on the movers to arrive. They called 45 minutes after the time frame and said they were finishing up a move, going to lunch, and then would come to our place. They eventually came 2.5 hours late and proceeded to talk on the phone to their dispatcher for 45 minutes. They complained about the items they had to move and the height of our truck and the steepness of the driveway (mind you, we had already loaded all of our other belongings in there with no issues). After talking on the phone to their dispatcher for a long time, they basically said that it's too late in the afternoon for them to do the move. It was too late because they showed up 2.5 hours late and talked on the phone to the dispatcher for 45 minutes! They eventually just left without helping us. So, we had to find help last minute to carry the large items ourselves. We had to be out of the house on that day and instead of being up front about being late or not helping us move they wasted our time (and money on the rental truck). We did end up getting a full refund and apologies on the next business day, but apologies don't help us move heavy furniture items. Thank god we found friends to help us last minute or we would have been screwed. Moral of the story - DO NOT USE BELL FOR MOVING. Movers will not show up or give you any heads up and they will bail on the job if they don't feel like working.

      Hello, I sincerely apologize for your experience with one of our crews last weekend. As I expressed to you over the phone, I was appalled at the lack of communication and professionalism you received. I'm not here to make excuses for the crew that day but to let you know that they have been spoken to and given a warning for the behavior exhibited. We truly expect better of our employees. I understand the real predicament my company left you in and wish that I could have changed the outcome sooner, but by the time it was brought to my attention on Monday, I did what was in my control by giving you a full refund. We pride ourselves on the quality service we provide to thousands of families each year. I understand we may not regain your business in the future but can promise we will take your feedback seriously and use it to make a better experience for other customers.
