Went to the dealership Feb of 2022 to purchase a vehicle. Went up there and purchased a 2011 Chevy Equinox for $5000 cash. I test drove the car and there weren’t any issues. I was told the car was worked on continuously and there’s no issues. The next day I bought the car it would completely turn off when I drove. I went back to the car lot March of 2022 and they tried to assist with fixing the timing belt and the actuator. However that did not resolve my issue. April of 2022 the car gave out once again and I took it to a mechanic and paid $300 out of pocket for an issue Gibsons did incorrectly. However that still did not fix the issue , May of 2022 I had another mechanic check the car and informed me the engine has metal shavings and now July of 2022 the car won’t even start or move! For 2 months my car has not worked or moved and it’s from my engine when Gibson informed me that the engine was new and there was no problems on this car. I have not had my car running since May of 2022 and I’m very upset about this! Gibson’s is not trying to fix the issue which has brought me to filing this complaint! I came and discussed the issues multiple times with them and they have been rude and unprofessional and informing me they can’t do anything after selling me a car that is not functional! I want this issue resolved as soon as possible.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The car was clearly not in good working condition to be driven off the lot nor was it good condition to be bought. I received the car and by the second day of buying the car the car wouldn’t start and continued to turn off and stop at red lights. They finally took my car after days of complaining and tried to fix the issue but didn’t resolve anything. The car till this day is non drivable and the whole engine gave out! They did not go above and beyond for this car and sold me a-lemon. They should not have sold me the car if they knew it wasn’t in any good condition! They lied to me and took my money which resulted in me having to use my hard earn money to buy another car because of their issue. I’m not satisfied at ALL!
