    On April 2, 2020 BBB received ther following email notice from Gimme the Dirt designed to keep their customers informed:

    "Dear Customer:

    We're sending this email to update you on the current status of your service. As you are aware, communities across the state and nationwide continue to deal with COVID-19 related issues.  The State of Ohio's shelter in place order remains in effect with no confirmed end date at this time. As a result of the continued shutdown, we are suspending customer accounts until further notice.  What does this mean?  This means your service will remain active and restart once we have been given the okay to return to business, and you will not be required to make any payments at this time. Rest assured that any accounts which may have fallen between the scheduled pay cycle and the shelter in place order will be adjusted and credited accordingly. 

    We are keeping track of when testing will be made available, and requiring all staff members to get tested prior to returning to work. These are challenging times; however, the safety and care of staff and customers and their loved ones is our chief priority.  We are also utilizing all available resources to assist staff and independent contractors to help ease any financial burdens and hardships. 
     
    We hope that everyone is healthy and staying safe. We will continue to provide updates as they happen. We look forward to getting back to work with you."

    service date was June 10, 2022. Payment was made on May 31 2022. I recevied a confirmation email stating the job was confirmed for the service date at 1200 PM, after that I received a reminder that the cleaning service was scheduled for 1200 PM. When I called to make sure that the service would be performed I was told that the service was scheduled for 400 PM instead of at 1200 PM as stated by 3 previous emails. When I called I was told that the cleaning crew was an hour & 35 minutes behind. I recieved an email that day that said that the service was scheduled for 400 PM. The following day my sister went to the house to make sure that there was nothing that had to be removed & that the remaining items were properly staged for pick up by another company & that what ever remained in the house was going to go with the new owners. She texted me & said that the house was not cleaned. I reached out to the cleaning service & they said that they did not finish Friday when they were there & would need to be back out either Saturday or Sunday to finish. I said that we 2 showing on Sunday & really needed the house ready to go by then. I was then told that even though we agreed on a time & date & I paid for the service that because I had canceled & rescheduled the job that it was now not as much of a priority. I did not hear anything from this service until Sunday when I was told that someone would be out to work on it. Sunday evening I received a text from the company that after another 3-4 hours the job was still not complete & that someone would need to come out Monday to finish the job. I left the house the weekend prior to May 31. When I left the house was already fairly clean, some light vacuuming, wiping counters & the tops of appliances & light to moderate cleaning of the 2.5 bathrooms that the house has. All-in-all this should have been a simple straightforward job to do but thus far it has taken 4 days & I still do not know if it is complete.
