      Original service call was placed on 8-2 for service on 8-4. Compressor and fan were running, freezer was working but not fridge. Technician thawed freezer, cleared drain etc said it should work, if it doesn't call back and they will replace defrost thermostat and heater. second visit was 8-12 for same problem. Technician arrived, heater was hot so that was not the issue, called another colleague and decided it was a defrost board instead and had to order parts 3rd visit to install parts 8-15, defrost board was installed, everything was supposed to be fixed. Technician left with instructions that everything should be back to temperature in 6-8 hours. Later that evening noticed nothing running on fridge or freezer. No compressor, no fan. Called to make them aware. Have had to call multiple times to speak to someone and calls don't get returned when left with the office. Finally get to speak with someone and they say they will speak with Technician and figure out what's going on. Don't hear back from them so I call again multiple times to talk to someone they offer that the board could be faulty from distributor and will send a different Technician to look at it after I requested a different Technician. Still no calls back. 3rd day of calling the same Technician calls back offering to come troubleshoot again. Called the office and said I do not want the same Technician, ask to speak with manager( which is who i have spoken with each time i finally get through to someone) and he's unavailable in a meeting and can't release his number. So now the only thing that works on my fridge is the light. No compressor, no fan...the board they replaced may or may not have been bad...it clearly has never been diagnosed and the fix was to just change parts until it works.

      Wow i can't believe she actually put a post in BBB. Long story short, she claims that the tech installed a board incorrectly and fried the fridge. Whereas this board only has one connector harness and you can't screw up installing it cuz there's no other way. I've already refunded ALL her money last week.

      As was submitted in my original email, the defrost control module was connected incorrectly. I had a company come out that is actually certified by the manufacturer to work on JennAir refrigerators, they found the board plugged in incorrectly and allowed me to photograph it after he did. Due to this board being installed improperly it caused further problems with the refrigerator/freezer not working.  I had the reputable company repair the refrigerator properly instead of calling the company that had already been here 3 times and broke it worse. They don’t answer or return phone calls anyway. This company caused me hundreds of dollars in repairs, and hundreds of dollars in groceries….. twice!

      On April 16, 2022 Columbus Appliance Repair sent a repairman to try to fix my dryer. The repairman spent 1 hour running tests, diagnosed a part as bad, replaced it and it still didn't work. He spent another 3 hours told me it was something else that would cost an extra $240. I told him he was just guessing and I didn't trust his opinion. I was charged $90. I purchased a new dryer and the guys who delivered and were removing the old one saw instantly what the problem was. The tech from Columbus Appliance Repair never even noticed what was very clearly the problem. I called and told them they should refund my money based on having done nothing at all and missing the actual problem. They refused to do anything to make good on their lack of performing any service for me.

      We are sorry to hear about him not being satisfied with our service. If he is looking for the service charge since that is all he was charged. Then we will refund that amount.
