on 6/30/22 we took our van to C Auto Glass's designated subsidiary location called Signature Auto Glass on St Clair Ave in Cleveland 44103. I was met by ***** who i learned later is the owner and was filling in for a no show employee. ******* cell is *** *** ***** He and I arranged for the car to be picked up after he closed with the key locked inside. We went there to pick it up around 7:30 that eve and noticed the remote lock didnt work. I called him and he explained it was the fact that 2 keys were in the same area. My wife knew immediately that he was wrong. I called back a few minutes later to also get instructions on care for the glass etc. because he didnt tell us anything about that. He seemed unfriendly but did explain the rules. When we got home learned he was wrong about the key but also noticed the rear electric sliding doors werent working either. i called the main number the next day and they asked me to bring the vehicle to their Parma location. Their employee ***** (i think) argued with me about what was going on. He figured out that they screwed up on the the lock. and tried to make the ridiculous argument that they couldnt have messed up the sliding doors which are electric because the screwed up lock is more mechanical and the doors are electric. While i was there another customer was returning because they installed 2 cup shaped item upside down in her roof. anyway ***** and another older worker were arrogant and looking at me like i was the crazy one. i drove 34 miles total to ****** to learn that the Auto glass company triggered a switch that disables the electric sliding doors. Before i went to ****** i texted and callled ***** but got no response. today we noticed they also screwed up the molding on the windshield. I would like BBB's readers to know how incompetent and uncaring these people are. I think the fact that as an owner ***** accepted a tip from me before work started confirms how sleezy they are.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I cannot believe this company is accredited by BBB.   Their sudden  expertise on the kill switch comes from my report of the problem and the solution ****** offered.  They obviously were too incompetent to arrive at that solution themselves even though they created the problem.   Their hindsight is 20/20 and they didnt admit that ***** (if thats his name) claimed this company had nothing to do with the problem.  And when a boss gives a cell phone number and the employees treat a customer with disrespect, the customer texts and leaves normal respectful reports of concern.  What are they talking about?  BBB should know that this company is fabricating stories.  The first text to ***** which he conveniently ignored said "the guys here refuse to even consider that you guys disconnected my sliding door yesterday.  can you respond before i take it to toyota...".   give me a break with the "finger pointing and victim" mentality.  Admittedly i used the word "buffoons" in the second text well after i realized i was being ignored and treated like dirt.  And the first call was from their other parking lot to the boss's (what's with the employee cell story?) number when while we were picking up the car we realized he broke the lock and left us no care instructions like a normal company would.  Gimme a break.    and i already knew that their switchboard was ridiculous, so i asked for a number expecting problems if i needed to reach somebody.  I didnt twist bryan's arm when he shared the number with me.  And as for previous problems with doors, what does that have to do with anything?  are we supposed to be impressed that they reached carfax or ****** to get information that is irrelevant to the complaint?  The doors were and remain fine.  This company deflects blame with irrelevant info.  And the notion of harassment is a lie.  It is a free country.  When i overheard another customer complaining of their incompetence I shared my story with her and her alone.  And if "*****" felt harassed its because he felt guilty and was probably following the boss's orders to help me as little as possible.   as i reported before, he made a ridiculous argument and i didnt accept his nonsense.  and as soon as i realized i was talking to a wall i backed off anyway.  and if he overheard me sharing the problem with ****** over the phone before i left, whats his point?  I had to decide if driving 34 miles out of my way because of them was a good decision and if ****** could suggest to them what they did wrong.  Did ***** want me to go into the middle of the busy street to make my call?  And as for the moldings, i expected a dialogue so i could show them its (at least) one of the shrouds, if they even know what that is.  They'll probably look i up now and give us a lecture like they did with the switch.  ****** said if it was their car they'd make the guilty party replace the shroud.  They cannot be repaired.    they arent supposed to be glued like this company attempted to do on both shrouds.    shrouds are triangular moldings that sit on the bottom left and bottom right on the outside of the windshield.  They are attached to the body of the car in those area.

      Regards,

      **** **********
