Received the below email from Burke. I donate Plasma at *******, so I expected the survey to be about my experience donating with them. The email states if you qualify and complete the entire survey, you will earn a $25 **** virtual gift card. I verified the email source and confirmed Burke was a legitimate research company and they had an A+ BBB rating. So I started the survey, anxious to give my feedback about *******. I spent about 15 mins answering various questions starting with my demographics, including my income. There was then numerous questions about random products I may or may not have owned/used, including blood glucose monitors, ****** vehicles, iPhones and others (I should have seen the red flag). I then got to numerous questions about donations of plasma, platelets, sperm/egg, and blood. Finally, I answered several questions about plasma donation companies.After answering a total of at least 30 questions, I was then advised that based on my previous questions, my survey was complete and I could not precede any further with the survey. There was no link or directions to obtain my gift card. Apparently I didn't qualify to complete the entire survey, therefore I did not earn the $25 gift card.My complaint is, there was an excessive amount of "qualifying" questions. Additionally, the questions that I answered provided an abundance of marketing information that could still be used. I feel like this is really just a scam to mine my information and then not compensate me as advertised. I consider myself to be very cautious and savvy when it comes scams regarding my information. But ultimately I was duped under the guise of a company I use and I am very disappointed I was deceived. Email I received: "We would like to invite you to participate in an important survey about products or services you may have recently used. The reward for participation in this research is $25.START THE SURVEY When you are ready to take this survey, just click on the link above.If you qualify and complete the entire survey, you will earn a $25 Virtual **** gift card for your time. Virtual **** is a virtual gift card that can be used online anywhere **** is accepted. This survey will take about 25 minutes. We ask that you provide honest and candid feedback. To be eligible for the $25 Virtual **** gift card from reward*virtualrewardcenter.com, please respond no later than November 10th at midnight Eastern Time. Hi ******,A Burke team member has reached out to you via email on your experience.We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration caused. It is common practice in market research to ask several questions in order to determine whether or not a person qualifies for our studies. Many people do not, which is why we are required to inform people up front that they may not be selected.The information that you provided was deleted and not shared since you did not qualify for the study.

I received a timely response email from an upper level Burke team member. The response was genuine and not canned. I was given an explanation of their practices and told the survey was going to be reevaluated based on my feedback. I was also given a $25 virtual gift card for my inconvenience. I am satisfied my concern was addressed and am grateful to have received a personal response, in addition to the gift card. It is obvious Burke takes customer complaints seriously. Thank you.

We got a spam call on our cell phone at 8PM from x** *** **** (from caller **). The live caller claimed she wanted to talk about (she inserted name of family member here)'s health care plan. We said no and hung up. I called the ** number and got a recording announcing it was from Burke, **** in **********. Asked me to leave my phone number! Said they were following up on a healthcare request we'd made, but we haven't made any healthcare requests. ***** is running a phishing scam, on the face of it. Clearly this was placed by some kind of auto-dialer, illegal here. The late hour, the recording when I called back, and the obvious phishing expedition make it clear that ***** needs to be taken down, and I'm going to appeal to the local media in **********. We never heard of *****, **** But we know them now. They prey on people. Don't do business with these phishing scam artists. If they call you, complain to the local media about them. Pursue these bums to the ends of the earth. [I couldn't submit this w/o a star rating. This rating is the opposite of reality. As is Burke's business.]
