Have been a customer for several years. On 2/17.23 I received a quote for adding an electric receptacle on by back porch. I was quoted $665.63. The quote stated "Install outdoor added wall plug in covered patio room for TV using conduit inside garage to exit to patio room and install plug in siding." I gave them a $330.0 deposit and scheduled the work for 4/10. I was told by John (owner) to call the office and schedule him for 3 hours to do the job. I did that. On 4/10 John showed up to do the work around 8AM. I had to move boxes and a shelf to make room for him to install the conduit. John cut out the area and installed the receptacle. He connected the wiring from receptacle on bottom of the wall to the now he installed. After testing to see if it worked he told me was done. I asked him about the conduit into the garage and he told me he didn't need to do it. The job took about 1 1/2 hours and not the 3 hours he planned. He still charged me the balance of $335.63. Shame on me for not calling him on the charge and I just paid him the balance. On 6/6/23 I happened to meet John at my daughter's for servicing her A/C unit and I brought the charge up to John explaining the job took him half the time and he didn't need to install the conduit. I told him I fell overcharged for what he did, especially after being a long standing customer. He gave me what I call a "lame" excuse explaining something about not know what type of wiring he would run into. I told him it is cut and dry, he was charging me for 3 hours work and conduit and he did the job in half the time and no conduit. He stated he is sorry that I feel the way I do, all the while not being able to look me in eyes. All I want to do is bring this to the public's attention of his unethical business practice and it is evident he does not value his customers. I recommend calling someone else for A/C and electrical work.

As Mr ******** stated above, I did issue an written estimate for the requested work of adding an outside plug for his TV on a covered patio. As most companies do, we left time in this job just incase we ran into any unknown problems, (thus needing the SCHEDULER to leave 3 hours open, drive time and or problems) Mr ******** agreed to the estimate and charges and signed a contract for this work. He is the one who scheduled the work so far out. In the estimate we had originally planed that we MAY have to use PVC Conduit to run the wiring, but I found that we could run the wire through the wall and not put unsightly conduit on the garage walls. At the end of the job, Mr ******** was pleased and asked me No Questions about the method used to run the wire, only made a comment about him having to move some boxes against the garage wall for no reason. As per our company policy list with the BBB, Our bids are locked, and we don't charge extra for our work once we bid it, and the customer signs it. However we do have the right to alter the methods once we get into the job, either more or less for the same SAFE outcome. We are sorry the ***** feels this way, but he did not several months back, or he could have called to talk about this.

I have read ****'s response to my complaint and disagree with his response. First, it is clear the estimate included 3 hours of work and it also clearly stated "using conduit inside garage to exit to patio room and install plug in siding." I have to assume that had he worked the entire 3 hours and used the conduit the price would have been what I agreed to pay on the estimate. For the record, he installed a receptacle in my former home, running wiring from the breaker box across the garage and out to the patio and he charged me $200 for that job, For this job all he did was cut an area for the receptable and ran wiring up the wall about 5 feet. The right thing to do was when he completed the job he should tell me he didn't need to do all the work the estimate called for and revise the charge only for the work he actually did. Instead, he charged me for all the work he intended to do and for the materials he did not use. To me that is gouging. I did not complain about the work because I got the receptacle, and it works. I am only complaining about him charging me for doing less work and not using the intended materials. You can slice this any way you wish, and he knows, and I know he gouged me. I did not ask for a refund but gave him an opportunity to make things right. Instead, he gave me a lame reason for keeping the money. What he did is unethical, and he knows it. I just want the public to be aware and be careful when using this business. No way to treat a good customer over the years.
