This business is owned and operated by one person, Joanne H. Signed lease in February, so that we could move in on August 1st, 2021. **** asked if the move-in date could be pushed forward to August 14th. Roommate and I agreed. **** then moved the move-in date to August 20th and did not notify us until we reached out asking about what time we should be there. We were shown a unit with washer/dryer and up-to-date renovations and appliances. Could not show us our unit due to construction. August 20th we arrive ready to move in and there are no floorboards, baseboards, toilet, or bathroom light (one room still has no baseboards as of Feb. 7, time of writing). We moved in on the 22nd of August. Water pipe burst in vacant apartment above ours, and burst a large hole through the ceiling, filling the kitchen with dirty water. **** did not view this as an emergency, and the hole was not patched until about a month and a half after the incidents. Bats would sometimes fly out of the hole. We were told that the toilet was brand new, but is evidently very old, as is the plumbing. About once a week it clogs and floods, filling the bathroom with backup. Roommate and I have only flushed waste and appropriate amounts of toilet paper. Has yet to do any meaningful repairs, despite us asking multiple times.Customer response
