J.D. Johnson Waterproofing was one of the most professional companies that we have ever used. After rebuilding a collapsed foundation for a portion of our Cleveland Heights home we cannot strongly recommend them enough as they treated us as if we were family and went above and beyond our expectations when it came to the communication, work and timeliness of the project.

We recently had them come out to install an interior drain system in Mentor. They were prompt, tidy, and treated the basement like it was their own. The owner was on site both days making sure everything was going as planned. Very happy with the results and will always recommend them.

This company under a previous name dug up my house on three sides and replaced the footer drains and installed an exterior sump pump. Within two years more cracking was occurring on the walls and water was coming in the corner of the basement by the exterior sump pump. After a whole basement flood another company was hired to dig it up again. They discovered the pump was 2feet higher than the basement floor, the gutters were connected to an already clogged drain, no gaskets were between the old clay pipe and the newer footer drains, and the sump pump was just sitting on top of the footer drains. The drains that this company put in were completely clogged with dirt. No clean out pipes had been installed so the only way to look at the footer drains was by digging it all up and starting again. The walls were cracking on the interior so badly due to the poor work that new support beams had to be installed on the interior and the exterior had to be waterproofed again. The sump pump is now two feet lower than the basement floor and now has a battery backup. The new work just on the front wall was 20000 and that doesn’t even cover the horizontal crack on the back wall that has appeared. I would not recommend this company unless you would like to redo the work in 10 years to have many mistakes corrected.

Everything was completed as expected and discussed, with no surprises on our end. *** and *****, along with their crew make an awesome team! I especially appreciate they had several opportunities to upsell, their service, but did not, ************ work from a reputable company. They even guarantee their work which is peace of mind. We had J.D. Johnson waterproofing come in to waterproof our basement interior walls due to ground water coming in our finished basement. The company came in and spent the expected few days installing the system and to hook it into our existing croc. Company completed in a timely fashion however, the next rain I noticed that the water was not going into the croc, after closer examination I found that the workers "heated the croc to push the pipe through" although they never made sure it went through and a vacuum seal was the result. After immediate contact with the owner he was very quick to respond and himself come out to ***** and fix the issue, we are very thankful for that. The next issue was there cementing and gravel around the radon system was causing a vacuum issue, again the owner graciously came out himself to break it up and cleared it up then re cemented. Months later we had blown a fan for the vacuum on the radon system, after the radon tech came out and fixed the issue and opened the ground it was found that the cement had sealed the radon intake. After discussing this with the owner he graciously reimbursed us for the damage and cost. We had water recently come through causing damage in parts of our basement. I contacted the owner and the response I received per a previous discussion was the warranty did not cover that due to us having dug in the front yard for a sewage issue on the opposite side of the house years prior. The owner has been great with trying to resolve issues however for the money it cost to still have water issues I would not recommend this company. I can honestly say the owner was very prompt in his response but ultimately in my personnel opinion passed the blame on our water issues. Be sure to fine tooth read the warranty before you decide to go with them. I am not suggesting no one uses this company rather my personnel experience with them.

Awesome job!Everything they said they would do.Great teamwork. Extremely Respectful, on time and they cleaned everything up.So far it has been 1 week, we have had 2 inches of rain melting 8 inches of snow... Basement is bone dry.Highly recommend ***** Waterproofing. Extremely Satisfied. 5 ??
