Horrible company. Put my roof on on 2016 and had problems with them then. Roof leaked within weeks of them putting a new one on. They came out and said they repaired it. Almost 5 years later roof is leaking i the same place again. Called Thrush since they are original installer and was told service manager would contact me right away. Well right away came and went and days later no contact from them. Had another roofing company come out and they found the problem in 15 minutes and it was a flashing that was never sealed by Thrush when they put on the new roof and with the hard rain from the storm a couple a weeks ago it leaked. The owner will leave his comments as he did on my post in 2016 that none of this is true. He may even say i was never a customer as he has said about many of the other reviews on here. I will gladly send my over $6,000 invoice to show proof if anyone wants to know. After reading all the post it is amazing how Thrush blames all their customers for their own problems. Run dont walk to another roofing company!

This review has nothing to do with the quality craftsmanship of Thrush & Son, LLC and should not even be considered by anyone reading this. It is even more egregious that the Better Business Bureau would accept this review considering the weather conditions and the time frame that was involved. This person contacted our office for the first time regarding this issue on Tuesday June 29th and our office manager kindly reached out to them and let this person know that we would address any concern that they may have. Now today, Thursday July 1st this person decides to post another negative review about our company. Mind you, we have had rain every single day since we had been contacted and we value the safety of our team of professionals as this would not be the best weather scenario for them to work in. As for this individual's ridiculous comment about the flashing never being sealed, that is a false statement. Since this individual also mentioned his contract and posting it, we will gladly go ahead and post the job description that he agreed too. Here is the exact project description that was agreed upon in 2016:

"Roof Estimate,
Remove 1 layer of existing shingles. Install ice & water protector along bottom perimeters. Cover all roof decking with Atlas Summit 60 High Performance Synthetic Underlayment. Install Atlas 10" pro cut starter strip with hold down features on all perimeters to provide high wind resistance. Replace 7 Turtle vents. Install 2 (6") broan vents and 2 pipe boots. Detach and reset 1, (12") sun tunnel. Paint and reseal 1 metal chimney. Install new aluminum edging. Install Atlas Pinnacle Pristine dimensional, laminated, algae resistant shingles, featuring Scotchgard protector built with (HP) High Performance Technology. Atlas Scotchgard Pristine roofing system has a lifetime product warranty with a 15 year peace of mind premium protection period, featuring a 100% replacement warranty on material and labor. All hip & ridge (cap) will be installed with 1 3/4 inch hand driving roofing nails.
Install 136' of gutter guard, (homeowner to supply gutter guard).
All products installed by Thrush & Son LLC will be installed to the specifications of the manufacturer.
Price includes labor and material.
All job related debris will be hauled away.
EPA lead safe practices will not be conducted on this project."

As you can see, there is no mention of installing new flashing. There is mention of detaching and resetting the existing sun tunnel skylight, in which we would re-use the existing flashings. If the existing flashings were in such condition that they were not acceptable for re-use, we would then speak with the homeowner and recommend purchasing new. We are unsure of exactly what flashing this individual is speaking about. It is not customary for Thrush & Son, to accept the word of an anonymous third party without proper documentation and evidence.

Something to keep in mind is that metal is a conductor. Therefore, it will transfer temperature, hot and cold. Due to the extreme weather elements that we experience in Ohio, freezing and thawing, expansion and contraction will occur. Because of this expansion and contraction, the roof and the metal flashing can actually shift and warp, causing nail pops or even tears in the aluminum/galvanized, as well as the sealant. This is one reason why common roofing and flashing maintenance is recommended by not only Thrush & Son, but all manufacturers.

We would gladly submit this customers first review of Thrush & Son on August 31st, 2016 and our response, as we have attempted to, but the BBB places a limit on the length of a response. It's a shame that this individual would attempt, again, to tarnish a company's reputation.

The business must be confused with some other customer. I never posted a "contract". And I have pictures I took with the contractor of the flashing on the roof vent not being sealed so anyone that wants proof please feel free to contact me. Also I never had any conversation with the "office manager" because whomever that is never talked with me. They didnt care that the roof was leaking that they installed so they never called. A lot of excuses for all the reasons a roof could leak but failed to mention it is only 5 years old next month and the leak is in the exact same place as the leak Thrush supposedly fixed less that 4 weeks after they installed the roof!! If you listen to their response it must have been my fault it leaked 4 weeks after they installed it. So much for "Thrush Quality Craftmanship".

I don't have to attempt to tarnish their reputation as they are doing a great job of that by themselves without any help from me. You don't have to believe me just look through all the negative reviews that are posted here and the other review sites. There's a pattern of they are always right and the customer is always wrong.
