I took my car to the Lyric Auto shop because my clock spring had broke in my car. They are the only local shop in the area that does work on foreign vehicles. My car was on a waitlist of roughly 3000 for a specific piece. My car was in the shop from 01/22 to roughly 11/22. Originally it was thought there wasn't a recall on my vehicle. After around 9 months I spoke to my car manufacturer directly to see what's going on. Turns out there was a warranty on the vehicle, but only a Volkswagen dealership could replace the piece. When I informed Lyric of the news they gave me a hard time and were very cold. Now back on 8/14/22 I stopped by there shop to check on the vehicle. I noticed my passenger side mirror was busted and a replacement piece was inside on the seat. I decided to take a picture of both the broken and replacement mirror to document it. I figured Lyric would just replace the part with no problems. Now fast forward back to NOV. I get the car back and the mirror was still busted. I called Lyric about the incident and they have absolutely denied any accountability or responsibility, they still insist on me paying to replace the part even though they broke it. They claim they had no record of purchasing the piece, then they claim that it was already broken before I brought it in (Was not). If it was I would've liked for them to replace it immediately. When confronted about the pictures, they questioned why I didn't call and thought it was suspicious I didn't. I explained that I didn't because I assumed they would fix it. I have spoke to them multiple times and they have absolutely been irresponsible, unapologetic, and unwilling to do absolutely any work unless paid. NO business should create problems for the customer then charge the customer for the problem created BY the business. Any sort of help would be appreciated.Business response

-I personally did not break ****s mirror. Nor do i know of anyone that works here currently or within the past year, that has any knowledge of the "mirror incident"
-With that being said this is why i did not take my time to fix it.
-**** was not charged for diagnosing his car.
-**** was not charged for any storage while his car was just sitting in my parking lot
-if something did happen in my lot i do apologise, but forgive me for not taking blame for something I never did nor do I know what happened.
-to me its kind of odd that a replacement part was put in the car. If I or anyone else that works here or has worked here, would have put the part on the car and contacted customer.
-****s family brings their cars here and i appreciate their business. with that being said if the only resolution to this is that I eat my time and install a part that i have no idea where it came from (said mirror) then so be it. get the car here and I ****** ******* will put it on myself!!!
