***** **** ***** **** contracted with PP:LS Construction to complete a small restoration jib inside one of the unit at the association - drywall, baseboards, carpet. Restore a previously water damaged room inside the unit. He took a draw, $1000.00, Dec 30th, 2021, promptly cashed it. He started the job, did not come very often, had many excuses why he wasn't making progress. he was very difficult to stay in touch with, didn't answer his phone, said he preferred texts, then wouldn't respond to texts. When he did come it was for short periods of time and got seemingly nothing done. To date, he has only been there a fewe days out of the last 3 weeks. By his own account this should be only about a 5 day job. 3 weeks later not one bit of drywall has gone up. This a bedroom area and it's getting extraordinarily cold inside and we've expressed urgency of completion to the vendor. So coming too sporadicly has now turned into leaving without a word, taking his tools out and not coming back since the 15th. No contact, won't answer the phone. Evidently we've been ghosted. He certainly did cash that draw check quickly though. I'm sure some of that money went to materials, he did leave drywall, but we have no way of knowing how much. No receipts, no proff of anything. Can't possibly be the whole $1000.00 for the little he's done. Also, he did ask the tenant if he knew anyone that knows how to mud drywall! This is what he was contracted to do, drywall. Lot of excuses, no work done, lack of/no communication. Poor response from the start. We were beyond patient and accommodating. At least some of our money should be refunded, or perhaps it should be pursued criminally. Previously we would have hoped simply for the job to be finished, Sadly we're past that now, A portion of our money should be refunded with proof of what was spent.
