I purchased a vehicle on 1/24/24 from their salesman at 440 Auto Sales 11555 Brookpart Rd in Parma, OH 44130, Phone # 440-403-9096. As I live in Illinois it was shipped to me. The vehicle was definitely misrepresented. The rear windshield wiper was broke. One of the rear passenger doors will not open and the lock was missing. None of the door locks will function properly on any of the doors. The center console compartment was broke. Several of the service lights are coming on. The odometer reads 75,000 miles but the trip odometer reads roughly 197,000 miles. A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Their mission statement on their website states that every vehicle is inspected and necessary repairs are done prior to it being offered for sale. They also state this insures that we are offering road worthy vehicles to our customers. So clearly this is false advertising. This vehicle is definitely not road worthy and not safe to drive. I had clearly asked the salesman if anything wrong with the vehicle jumps out at him. He said their was nothing. I don't know how a family owned business can treat their customers this way and sleep at night. I called the salesman and told him all of the things wrong with the vehicle and offered to pay to ship it back to them and he refused to do anything. He would not even pay for the repairs. I would like a full refund of the vehicle.

on 12/1/23 I gave a deposit of $500 on a car. when I gave the deposit I asked if its refundable because I didnt know if my Credit union would Finance me. He said he would refund if financing didnt go thru my CU. So I signed the Purchase Order because I needed that for my Credit Union. The next day I had my Brother-in-law go to inspect the vehicle. He took pics of major rust damage under the car. The Dealer said they fixed it but I do not trust them since ***** had said their mechanic looks over all cars very good before they sell them. Now they will not give me my deposit back. The owner Rick ***** said he would only allow to put towrds another car but I do not trust them now due to all the lies

I purchased a 2009 Subaru Forester XT from 440 Auto Sales in Parma, OH. I live out of state and had the vehicle shipped to Indiana, where it arrived on 9/15/23. It is missing a catalytic converter and will not pass emissions testing, therefore, I cannot register the car or drive it. I was never told the car couldn't be registered when I purchased the car 9/5/2023. I contacted my salesmen Tyler about the matter and he laughed at me stating that I must have removed it or the transport company that delivered the vehicle did. They have since been unresponsive about me wanting to return the vehicle.

Tyler with 440 Auto Sales sold me a "5 Star" Powertrain warranty on a used 2010 Ford Flex. He said this warranty will cover up to the cost of the vehicle in repairs should any mechanical issues occur.

*The "5 Star" Powertrain warranty covers all of the items in the Powertrain warranty and then some.
The Powertrain warranty cost $900 and the "5 Star" Powertrain warranty (the one I bought) cost $1,800.

So of course I thought the warranty was a worthwhile investment since I bought the car for $15,000.

And then 9 months later, the car breaks down. I have had it in three auto repair shops all quoting $8-9k to replace the engine. Come to find out, the warranty 440 Auto sold me only covers up to $3k in engine repairs and no more than $6,500 total.

I do not have the money to make the repairs. And the car is in no position to sell.

The customer is dreaming that after buying and driving the car for nearly a year that somehow our dealership is responsible that his car is now broken down and he cant afford to fix it. We tried to assist the customer by reaching out to the warranty co. as to why they wouldn't cover his repair as he claimed. The warranty company already paid one claim for one repair diagnosed by a shop he chose and since the vehicle wasnt diagnosed and repaired correctly at the shop he chose the warranty co wont pay an additional claim for the same issue until a complete tear down with proper diagnostic is performed at the custoners expense. The customer doesnt have the money as stated and looking to blame us for assistance. We sold the car as-is and the buyer knowingly signed as-is forms.
