    I came in to this dental office with a chipped tooth. I was told that I needed a crown and fillings. I was told that my dental insurance was accepted. I was informed that my total out of pocket would be around $1,000 after the insurance paid their portion. I paid the $1,000 out of pocket up front and was told that I will no longer owe a balance for the services. A few months later I get a bill from the dental office for another $1,000. I called about this bill and I was told to disregard it because the insurance company was still figuring things out. I disregarded the bill like I was instructed. Another month goes by and I get another bill for $1,000. This time I call and they tel me that I do in fact owe another $1,000. When I asked why I was lied to, they told me that the amount I paid was only an estimate. I was NEVER informed of that. I feel that this was extremely unethical of them. I cannot afford to pay another $1,000. I am a single mother with two little kids barely making rent. I had to pull my son out of preschool for 4 months to pay off the first $1,000. Please help me resolve this, because I cannot afford this extra money that I never agreed to. I also cannot afford for this to mess up my credit, because I am hoping to find a better and more affordable living arrangement for me and my children when my current lease is up. They sent me a message offering to answer any questions but they have already answered my questions. They basically told me “o well, that sucks for you”. After doing some research, I found that several other dental practices do the same work for nearly half of the price. Please help me

    Patient has spoken with the office the day after filling this complaint on 3/6/2023. After speaking with patient she understood that she maxed out her insurance benefits for the year. She was going to contact the office later that day, and has not done so. We have reached out 3 times since (3/7/2023, 3/13/2023 and 3/15/2023) to finalize our conversation to patients liking and patient has not returned calls.

    We are making our best efforts to reach a conclusion with this patient. However, there has not been any additional communication with our office from patient.
