Cedar Ridge Apartments managed by Aspen Management. I placed an application along with a $25 fee to rent out a listed $645 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment. During a phone call with ******* upon stating I'd been accepted, I'd been told the apartment would have base cost of $700. It was also noted that my move in date could be moved up to the 1st of August instead of the 18th. After reviewing the listed price I called back about the price of the apartment I'd applied for and was told the website lists the price as $645-$745. However, Aspen's website has indeed listed the 1 bedroom apartment solely as $645. I came upon the day I was told to review the apartment (I also brought the first month's, last month's, and pet fee as instructed). When I'd arrived ******* announced that the unit (A4) I was paying for wasn't ready for review and that I'd have to check out a similar unit (A14) which was in just as poor of a condition due to being under construction. I returned to his office, tried to get him to come back down to $645, and was then told he likely wouldn't have anything available until the 18th or later. ******* then told me he'd have an upstairs 1 bedroom apartment available to me by the 1st at the same price of $700, and that I couldn't review it since someone was living in it. Really disappointed to have payed for an application and then have the price of the listed apartment increased afterwards. The whole process felt like a cash grab.
