They gave me a price and then upped it after I already signed off. I immediately contacted sales guy. He said not worry, we would work it out. Then after no follow-up on "making it right", I contacted the Manager. I was told he would look into it. Again, NOTHING done! Eventually, he said that since the sales guy was no longer with them, there was really nothing he could do since he could not verify what I said was true! Because I was too "invested" in the payments by then on the appliances, I felt I was just stuck. I ended up paying that contract off early at the higher cost, just to be done with them! I decided to just send the living room furntiure back and cut my losses. This exact thing happened to me on Both contracts (the appliances and the living room furniture) that I had with them...entered into approximately 2 months apart, on the different items. I feel I am entitled to a partial refund on the total of payments I made. Esecially on the appliances.Business response

In response to Ms. ****** complaint, the furniture set she had was a sectional that was special ordered for her. We received it 5/13/21. On 9/8/2021 Ms. **** returned the furniture because she could not afford it, due to not being able to work for a period of time. The way our business works is that a customer has 120 days same as cash where 100% of rent not including tax comes off the cash price. After the 120 days the customer can still purchase the item or items early with the early buyout being 50% of what the full term rental amount is at that time. As I stated previously, the furniture was returned 9/8/21 and the rent paid went toward time usage for the period she rented it. If she were to come in to get it back she would pick up at the term remaining when it was returned and the 120 days same as cash would be in effect. We do offer Lifetime Reinstatement on all returned items. As for the refrigerator and range, she called me on 2/5/22 and asked what the payoff amount was I informed her it was $1204.49 and she asked me if we would take $1000 for the buyout and call it done. I explained again that the early buyout is 50% of the full term amount and that she was already receiving a discount on the payoff. She then asked me to take the regular renewal payment of $229.42 which I did. She called back yesterday 2/23/22 and paid off the account for the early payoff amount of $1098.28. I was off yesterday and not present for the transaction and I spoke to Joseph the Account Manager that took the payment and he said that she said nothing to him other than asking what the payoff amount was and saying wanted to pay off at that time.

I am rejecting this response because:
You are missing the POINT! I was overcharged on the items from the beginning based on what I was quoted from Tim. He said he would make sure it was corrected and made right. If you (****) recall back then, I had a phone conversation with you about it. You delayed in ever really checking into it and then I was told that *** was Gone and pretty much nothing could be done. As for the living room furniture, I guess it is what it is. But I don't think it's right that the price on the appliances was never addressed. I for CERTAIN will NEVER do business with your company again, nor will I ever recommend anyone to you. This was my very first experience with a rent to own company. You and your company have made it Despicable!!!
