There house that they rented out to me , had mice and ***** f**** . When I told **** about it she came over with a broom and dust pan to sweep up the mice p*** I told her I no longer want the house she told me I had to the end of the night (February 2 , 2022 12@m) before the snow storm came to leave and vacate the premises in order to get my security deposit back and my first months rent being that I got my keys on the 31st , deep cleaned it on the 31st , was moving my stuff in on the the 1st of February, and found a ***** in the first room to the right On the 1st of February 2022 I called her and let her know! A Professional exterminator came out the next day to spray the house , he let my boyfriend know that the tenants before us had roaches and mice really bad and they were super active three weeks prior to us moving in . The next day after the exterminator came by I let The landlord **** know that I no longer Wanted the property due to closely look over the whole house now! They have mice p*** in the cracks of the floors so I would have never been able to walk on the floor barefoot without picking p*** up with my feet and she had mice p*** in the closet in the cracks of one of her closet she came over and swept it up with a broom and dust pan herself which I thought was ridiculous. Any ways , We did as we was told in order to get all of our money back . After we received the check , took about 3 days . She only sent us back $1050 that was for 850 for the 1st month of February and a 200 dollar water deposit. She kept the 850 security deposit. After she said that it was approved by her boss and itll be sent out if we got out by the snowstorm which we did and we return her keys and put them in the lockbox which we did she didnt hold up on her end of the deal and now shes keeping our 850! We have pictures of everything .THEY PAINTED OVER ****** ! That house shouldnt even have been on the market . The whole house is safety hazard . We just want our money back.

The owner of the property is the one who initially promised to return all of their deposit. We work for the owner and don't make the decisions. We do what we are told. The owner then changed his mind about that since we held the property for them for two weeks and also did everything we could to rectify the situation. I asked to see the painted over roaches and they failed to show that to me. The professional exterminator said that house had been cleared of all previous infestations. We have had traps in the house since they vacated on 2/3 with no evidence of any infestation whatsoever (that's over a week from today's date). We feel these were just excuses to get out of the lease which we let them out of without further liability. They signed a "deposit to hold" form when they paid a deposit to hold the property. This form clearly says they will forfeit the deposit if they fail to take the property. I suspect they just didn't like the house after they started to move in. I dealt mostly with the mother and never told the tenant anything when I was there cleaning up old mouse p*** from inside the small cracks between the carpet and the molding at the edge of the flooring. You had to look really hard to even see there was anything there. Then they left cleanser powder all over the bathroom and tracked up all of the floors that then need to be cleaned again.
