Purchased my second BRAND NEW vehicle through Ron Marhofer & NEVER will again. My new vehicle is a 2023 Santa Cruz SEL. Purchased: March of 2023. Problem: January of 2024. 10 months later, the coolant sensor randomly quit working, so my engine couldn't tell if it was overheating or at a normal temperature. I drove it to ********, who confirmed it was the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. The antifreeze was NEVER filled to the minimum line within the reservoir when I purchased the truck. I had the truck at Ron Marhofer of Green for service and was never told the antifreeze was on the low side. But who would think to check it since it was only at 8,000 miles? Back to January 2024: I towed to the dealership for service immediately in fear of driving it. While there, they issued me a rental and told me it was going to be $50/day until they diagnosed my problem. I returned the rental within 24 hours to avoid these rental charges. They lied and told me my service tech was off that day, but low and behold, when I walked in, he was sitting right there at his desk with an attitude. I returned the rental keys. Still no update on my truck; it is "in progress." FIVE days later having not heard anything about my truck, I call and continue to receive the scheduling personnel because the service dept is "extremely busy." I do NOT care if you are busy. Have the common courtesy to call me with some kind of update. I left a voicemail and had the scheduling dept "send out an email" and still have not been contacted. They also stated that my service tech is off AGAIN today. So unprofessional. To top this all off, the day I towed it in, they told me that I caused this problem due to "impact damage" and that it is not something covered under warranty. Multiple people with BRAND NEW Santa Cruzes are experiencing this same problem. Example: ******************************************************************** Tell me how every single one of us is responsible for this?

NOOOOOO. The absolute worse. Seen a nice vehicle. I go check it out. Meet **** who was great. Like the vehicle crunched the number that sat and monday morning. Drove back down after work(1 hr) Couldnt get in with finance because they didnt have enough people working. I waited there until about 8:15.(They closed at 8) My next available time to come back was Saturday due to work schedule and their business hrs. I was informed 4:30 that the window was being replaced and our meet for Saturday morning to finish the deal was all good. At 4:45 I receive a call that said. Im sorry the vehicle just sold. ???? So after them running my credit 9xs wasting my time. On top of all that I caught them being dishonest about interest rates had they not goofed and shown me the paper I might have believed them when they said I had the same rate with business and personal. Truth was I had already been shown a paper that showed the interest rate. I got no vehicle, my credit ran through the roof and a sales manager with dry apologies and a hey I can search my inventory to find you something else. Yea I still havent heard from him on that. Stay away

I had such a great experience here buying my new Subaru Forester all they way from the initial interest online to being handed the keys! I worked with ***** from the start to the finish, he helped find the right deal for me and let me take it for a test drive and go over all the details for my trade-in. I also worked with *** who helped me with the all the financial details and suggested personal warranty’s since I use my car for work and travel all over the state. I’m thankful for the help they provided and I am one happy customer! :)

Took our 2014 santa fe in for the 45,000 mile service. Was told I needed brake service front and rear for $1500. When I asked about the fact the car only has 45000 miles, they said parts were rusty. I took the car somewhere else and was told it needed nothing. Good for another 50,000 miles. The rust on parts are normal for nonfriction surfaces. I will not go there again for service

*** **** vehicle was brought in for service 4/19/22. Upon inspection our technician determined front and rear brakes were heavily pitted and rusted. We have video inspection on file to show. The total quote to replace both was presented to *** **** for $755 via mobile quote. *** **** declined the work. We will contact *** **** to determine the where miscommunication may have happened.

I was quoted over $700 per axle, not total. Also was quoted over $700 to replace one shock absorber. Not both, just one. All on a vehicle with less than 45,000 miles. The brake rotors are not rusted or pitted on the contact surfaces. And any car in Ohio would have some rust on unpainted parts. These parts are available for inspection. Furthermore, rotors are $125 each at autozone. That would be $500 for four, plus another $100 for pads. So total labor would be $175 for both axles?

Pictures of some of the 10 cars my family and I have purchased from this dealership over the last 16 years. No issues till 2022 when a 2015 Sonata, with 80,000 miles get an oil leak. The car was perfectly taken care of and under an engine recall. Recall was denied by the dealer.Issues we had 1.) Dealer denied the recall and charged us $2,000 repair 2.) Dealer never provided a loaner car '3.) Dealer never answered the phone 4.) 2 weeks later engine light comes on, we call AAA have it sent to the dealer. Dealer waits 3 days to call and I try to call back and all I get is voicemail.5.) I go to the dealer and it is a zoo, nobody there to help, nobody cares, they are all scrambling 6.) Dealer charged for a part under the car but never installed it, said they would call us.7.) We tried to buy a new car (our 11the car and trade this one in) salesman takes 100 for elantra says in a week one will come in, 3 weeks he never calls.8.) Call salesman and he says he is too busy from Presidents day, he will call me next day and never does.9.) Ask for a refund on the deposit for a replacement vehicle.10.) Everytime you call service you never get a person and you never get called back. Can't buy a new car, can't get service, denied recall claim all after buying 10 vehicles from this dealership in 16 years. I have been driving 30 years and never had a car, let along a Hyundai have a $2,000 engine leak at ****** miles, if I had, I would have never bought a Hyundai again. Sad this dealership has declined like this, I have been loyal to them for many years and referred at least 15 sales over the last 15 years through family and friends. Not sure what their problem is now.3-26-2022, car again caused a near accident as the vehicle engine light came on, it lost power on the interstate causing my wife to alomost wreck. It is at Marhofer...again....All while still under a recall.

I spoke with the owner of 2015 Hyundai Sonata to understand how he would like to resolve the current matter. Owner stated they would like the dealership to purchase the 2015 Hyundai Sonata for the trade-in amount quoted, plus the amount he paid for repairs. The amount totaled $15,600 and we have agreed to purchase the vehicle. The guest stated they were satisfied with this resolution.

We have been dealing with the service department at akron which has been a nightmare! First most of there service reps were leaving during this!! We brought our 2017 hyundai tuscon in when it stopped running this has been over a month ago and through this entire process we had to call and check on the process almost daily at the start. as the service reps kept leaving we are on our 7th person! During this whole process we would have to call and ask if this was done or did that get done and the response was oh we need to do that so to the best part. Two service managers call once i posted a review the first one was not nice and said i will be handling your service now well he is not handling it we found out a week ago! Now the second calls today and was nasty right from the start and said your car has not been here in a long time when my car is in fact sitting there waiting to be fixed when the parts arrive! Do they hire these guys off the street with no personal skills or common sense to check and see if your car is really there? This dealership has really gone down hill ive been a customer for over 12 years and this is how your management treats customers? Maybe the rest of the management is the same and all they want is your money but i fill bad for people using this service department i would stay away go somewhere else! So all in all we are still waiting for the parts hopefully soon and we will never buy or use the service at this dealership again! We have had multiple bad experiences here even to the point of my wife comming home crying but we chalked it up to workload stress and came back shame on us !!!

****************** 2017 Hyundai Tucson has been diagnosed with a faulty cylinder head. The vehicle is out of Hyundai factory warranty coverage, and unfortunately replacement parts are on national backorder without an estimated date for shipment. Due to the circumstances Hyundai the manufacturer has decided to cover 90% of the repair at no charge and our dealership has given guest the use of a rental vehicle at no charge while they wait for parts. We hope to have fixed soon once parts arrive.
