I never had an account with Buckeye State Credit Union. I do not have any responsibility for the debt you’re trying to collect. I was living overseas when this account was opened. I never received a debt notice from Buckeye State Credit Union at the address I was living at. I have reported this incident to the police, FTC, and CFPB as identity theft. I have already sent Buckeye State Credit Union a letter in regards to this account. You must cease the collection of debt and communication with me with all associated addresses, emails and phone numbers.

The business has stated they have attempted to contact the consumer and will continue to make efforts to reach out. The business will need the consumer to come in and verify their identity in order for the business to look over and address the consumers concerns.

Contact has been made with Mr. *** the victim in this situation. Upon initially recieving the BBB complaint we had insufficient data to complete our investigation. Since making contact with Mr. *** and him coming into our Akron office on 8/15/23 we have sufficient info to make a determination that Mr. *** was a victim of identity theft. We are proceeding to resolve the impact on Mr. *** to fullest BSCU can. All accounts will be closed and marked as fraud, all credit reporting will be corrected (this can take 1-2 credit reporting cycles to be complete, no more than 60 days) and all debts associated with this case have been removed and no further collection efforts will take place. We appreciate Mr. ***'s cooperation in this and will promptly get this fully resolved on Buckeye's side. Mr. *** met with **** ***** our AVP of Lending and contact info was provided, Mr. *** now has a direct contact for any other questions or follow up needed.

Please direct any further questions to ****** ***** at Buckeye.

I made an agreement with ***** at the credit union on 3/7/23, to pay $234 and I paid $240, to erase past due balances & bring my balance on car payment current. I got into a car accident on May 16, 2023 & my car got totaled. I found out that ***** lied to me about erasing past due balances, when insurance company went to pay off my car. I included the text messages with the agreement between me & *****. Recently ***** recanted her agreement, in fear that she would get in trouble with her job for deceiving me into making a payment, without the intention of honoring the agreement she made with me, for which my mother gave me the money to make the arrangement. Instead, ***** at Buckey State Credit Union, told me she Moved the past due balance to the end of my balance. That wasn't the agreement, I wouln't have agreed to anything like that. I want the agreement honored and any current fees/ charges accrued due to this matter cleared up. I want to pay only what I rightfully owe, & be done with this matter. I also want ***** to be held accountable for the time & stress this matter caused my family.

The Buckeye State Credit Union of **************************************************************** sent out a letter welcoming everyone to the Newly Extended Family and giving details of the upcoming operational merge of Buckeye State Credit Union and ***************** ******** ****** ***** and by July 1 2022 the merge with be done, so in the letter is attached documents that lay out what to expect with line number 4 in the letter giving information on how the type of account at ***************** ******** ****** ***** will Transfer to Buckeye and on page 4 under the title (Information on how the type of Account at ***** will Transfer to Buckeye) under column ***** at the bottom is Loans on the right side then on the left side is Buckeye Account name and it states ( Will transfer at same rate and term at ***** until loan is paid. So I should have the same entrance rate I had with ***************** ******** ****** ***** and not subject to Buckeye Credit Union entrance rate,I had to Loan's one was a personal loan that had balance of $247.92 left on it and is not due until 08/06/22 so I came in to day 07/22/22 to pay it off and Buckeye charge me a $251.72 and stated that they changed me a every day entrance rate in stead of going by the Adverted agreement that was sent out to everyone and approved by ***************** ******** ****** ***** I didn't sign anything stating that I would change the entrance rate and I should not have to this a Deceptive Advertising and breaking the agreement.

      Good morning,

I have personally been in contact and attempting to resolve **************** inquires for a few weeks now. **************** has been presented with documentation to show his claims are baseless and factually incorrect multiple times. Myself and multiple members of Buckeye staff have answered all of his questions again provided him with straight answers and documentation that **************** seems to not be understanding. I intend on answering these questions here as well.
1.Claim that his loan terms have changed. Factually not correct. I have provided **************** with copies of his original loan agreement outlining terms and conditions he agreed to at *****, those terms were mapped into Buckeye and are exactly the same. Our receipts, letterhead, formatting are different and display differently but the data and info is the same. He does have the same rate, payment amount, term etc. as his original loan agreement from *****. I have provided copies of the documents and compared them to our system.
2.Changing balance. **************** is again factually incorrect on his understanding of how loans work and his receipt displays info. Installment loans like *************** has at Buckeye (formerly *****) accrue interest daily. When he inquired about a balance and was given a set number but then comes into the office days later to payoff, the daily interest has accrued causing the balance to be different. This is no different to how any other financial institution operates standard installment loans, in this case a personal loan and an auto loan.
His rate has not been changed, the terms of his services have not been changed. *************** refuses to have rational conversations and defers to threats and harassment of my staff. I have all of the documentation but for privacy will not be attaching it here. Upon request and written authorization from *************** I can provide the documents. I (Buckeye) is still willing to discuss this provide **************** answers to his questions. I have tried but will continue to present the info in a different manner than the multiple ways it already has been.
I am sorry that he is unhappy that the merger took place but truly we are here to help him.
Please send any further requests to *********************** at *********************************** or I can be reached via work cell ************
