I left my car there for 6 days with a list of things for them to repair and service. I was in communication with my service rep. *** once I got back from being away. I called the service center for an hour. They kept giving me the run around until someone finally had the courtesy to speak to me direct and let me know that they did not even look at my vehicle. When I asked why, they simply said they are understaffed and overworked. This is the most unprofessional and irresponsible behavior from any so called professional dealership. My frustration was multiplied greatly when she began to ask me questions that she had already asked me last week when I dropped my car off. I want to just go and pick up my car. But my BRAKES need to be changed. When I toda her the car isnt safe to drive. She asked me whats wrong with the brakes. I told her they need to be changed. She said thats not a good enough reason for me to request changing them. Accusing me of taking advantage of my warranty for no reason. My brakes are in dire need of being changed. *** even their own service workers told me the same thing. I dont know who to companion to. I dont know who they need to manage the place. I dont know how to react to being treated this way. I pay $900 a month for my car and the service is absolute garbage. I wouldve rather them spit in my face then do something like this. Unacceptable.Review from Heidi B

Avoid at all cost! We are the owners of a 2013 **** Escape with an accumulated mileage of approximately ******. The car was passed onto us by our parents who used the car for local trips in a small town. When the car broke down in the summer of 2021, we had it towed to our trusted mechanic who spent weeks trying to repair it without replacing the engine. Despite his best efforts, our mechanic ultimately recommended having the vehicle towed to a **** garage as the check engine light continued to appear after multiple attempts at repair. Koeppel Ford in Queens was the garage with the shortest wait time, so we decided to have it towed there. We were helped by ******** who was unfriendly and unprofessional throughout. When we brought the car in, we left a detailed list of repairs and told her our mechanic would be happy to talk to theirs. She berated us for not bringing the car to the **** garage at the outset. Three days later, she called us and said **** was uncomfortable working on the car because someone else had already done so. Then she said, I just wish I knew what repairs he (our local mechanic) made to the car so that my mechanic could better help you. Wen reminded that our mechanic invited such a conversation, she declined saying I would be fired if my manager found out. What? Over the next few days, we spoke to ******* * or 5 times. She was consistently unfriendly and unprofessional, neglected to return our phone calls as promised and applied a generally nonsensical approach to the entire situation. The pricing was outrageous. We paid $616 for the diagnostic (typically around $300 in ***) which took three weeks and did not involve any repairs. ******* quoted $3,200 in labor only to replace the timing belt, with no guarantee this would resolve the issue. ******* quoted "at least $10,000" to replace the engine. We had it towed back to our mechanic who did it for $6,000.Review from Howard B

Koeppel ********** are a bunch of frauds. Steer clear of these people. I sold my 2016 ***** HRV and they refused to pay me. Everytime I called it was a different reason - the person who bought the car has been fired, there was a lien on the car (though there wasn't), the check is in the mail (I was told this numerous times though the check was never mailed).I finally had to take time off to go back to the business as I began to think I had been scammed and my car was stolen. The reason I thought this was the blatant run around I was getting and the discourteous and unprofessional behavior of their employees which included hanging up on me when I demanded to speak with a manager. I go to the business (I spoke to *** at the **** Koeppel location) and was given another reason. They did not have the lien release form. When I sold the car - ******** (who was now fired) told me he did not need the form, he refused it. Turns out this employee was fired the next day. Somehowthey made it seem this was MY doing. Ultimately after making a lot of noise and promising to write internet reviews all over the net and BBB complaints I was given my check. To all potential customers. It's not worth it. Koeppel is not the only candy store in town. AVOID by all means!Review from Michael E

I had made an appointment with Koeppel Ford to look into a recall on 11/3/2021 for my **** explorer. At the end of the day, my car was fixed. However, when the car was returned to me, I noticed my ******************* Halloween mask was no longer on in the passenger seat where I left it, it was placed on the passenger head rest in which I found humorous. As I started to drive away, I made the attempt to plug in my iPhone to my iPhone cable for the **** And I noticed it was missing. I stopped the car and looked around my vehicle and it was no longer anywhere in the car.I have driven in my car to various places in the northeast and cross country to ***********. I have never taken out my iPhone cable because always needed it to get around in long distances. After speaking to the gentlemen who processed my car, I knew that I needed to speak to the manager. After speaking to the manager, he was suggesting overall that I had somehow removed it myself and misplaced it. I let him know I was filing a complaint. We agreed I should hold off from filing a complaint until he got back to me that Friday so he could investigate; he never made the attempt to call me back and here I am sharing my experience. My iPhone cable is worth $25.00 dollars give or take a few dollars. But when I submit my car for any service to any service provider, I expect my personal belongings to be exactly where I left them. In this instance, my belongings disappeared sometime when I gave my car for service and when I got it back. I will NOT be returning to this **** because property disappears here. I recommend **** customers to research other better rated ****s for service before coming to Koeppel ford of Woodside. Apparently, things magically disappear from customers' cars' in this location. There is no need to process a complaint with ********************** as this would only be an internal matter and the problem would most likely continue. I am filing this complaint publicly so the general public can understand the chances they are taking going to this *****Review from Andrew S

Let me tell you my experience with Koeppel Ford, Woodside ********: Two days after purchasing my lease from the finance department gentleman at Koeppel, I got a recall letter from **** due to a potential high-speed engine compartment cooling fan problem. The letter says that its usually a half-day fix. I brought the car in Tuesday, September 28th at 9:30 AM. My service advisor, *************************, who handled the intake, said there was also a roof-rack recall that they would handle. Because it seemed as this would be longer than a half day, I asked if they could update my Sync 3. ****************** said that I should not have that done because updates dont work and it would totally ***** up my system (nice to know after I purchased the lease.) He advised me NOT to update my Sync 3. He gave me his card and told me to call him later in the day about the recall fix. I called at 4:43 PM, got his voicemail, and left a message. Hie did not return my call. On Wednesday September 29th, I called at 9:10 AM and left a message. He did not return my call. So, as I am a respectful guy, I figured hes busy, no problem. I waited until 2:37 PM on the 29th and called again and left a message. He did not return my call. On Thursday September 30, I called at 7:51 AM, spoke to a CS rep who said ****************** would call me back in five minutes. He did not. I waited about two hours and called the customer service number on the **** Recall letter. The rep put me on with Koeppel and told me I would get help. Lo and behold, ****************** picked up the phone and told me I could come get the car around 12 or 1. I came at 2PM, got the paperwork, and it showed the roof rack was repaired but the cooling fan DID NOT NEED WORK. I asked ****************** how could this be? I wasnt asking because it took three days to fix something that he said did not need fixing, although that was head-shaking, I asked because, as I explained to him, earlier in the year my battery seized, I did not know why and just replaced it. I also told him on two occasions thick white smoke came out of my exhaust after idling for a while. Because the problem went away after parking for a day each time, I thought it was an anomalous event and, because the car was working well, decided it wasnt a problem and maybe was weather related or something. After the recall letter, I did a little research which pointed to the fact that, indeed, my battery and white exhaust problem could very well be related to the cooling relay problem. I asked ****************** about it. He said, and I quote: White smoke came out of the exhaust? I said yes. ****************** ignored me, just walked away from me and went and sat/hid in a **** Expedition on the lot until I left. The point is his he showed a total lack of respect towards a totally respectful **** Customer. This recap was in response to a query from ***********************, the Owner Loyalty Manager at Koeppel Ford ******************* who professionally asked how my experience was. After the email, ****************** said he will have the service manager, ***************************, speak with me. When I spoke with **************, he asked: Whats the problem?. He didnt know anything about my experience even though I was led to believe by ****************** that he was well informed about this matter. He just said he would speak with ****************** and basically blew me off. I share this experience with future **** Buyers going into this establishment.Review from Cheryl P

If I could give negative stars rating I would. Extremely poor customer service. They give you names of people that don’t work there, and hang up on you. Salespeople tried scamming us saying that the x-plan was not available on the vehicle we were purchasing. Still waiting for registration tags, as the ones we have from them are expiring today! Charging over $6k over sticker price for some vehicles.Koeppel Ford Response

Hi *** ********, Thank you for your time on the phone and feedback today. Per our conversation, NJ DMV is currently experiencing a 4-5 month backlog on processing tags/plates on new vehicles. I am available should you need any further documentation that we have, in fact, processed your paperwork with NJ DMV and are awaiting your plates/tags. Regards, **** ******* ************ ****
